  1. Best Bond Timothy Dalton all the way for me, really nailed the character and established the template that Daniel Craig has since superbly taken on. My least favourite was Roger Moore and although Sean Connery was the original, I rate him behind Pearce Brosnan. Best film All things considered, Casino Royale. The Living Daylights and Goldeneye sharing the podium. Best baddie Alex Trevelyan. Traitor, creep and all round ars*hole. Perfectly portrayed by Sean Bean. The bad guy in Skyfall, Raoul Silva is extremely good though! Best car The Aston Martin in the living daylights. I want me some of those missiles. Sexiest Bond girl (goody or villain) The best goodie.... I did like Kara Milovy (Maryam d'Abo) in the Living Daylights with an honourable mention to Camile Montes (Olga Kurylenko.) For badies, Xenia Onatopp was the better character, but for all out sexiness Miranda Frost from Die Another Day. (It helps that I have a bit of a thing for Rosamund Pike.) Best theme tune I did like the theme from Die Another Day..... but no, under no circumstances is it the best! My personal favourite was either A View to a Kill by Duran Duran or Tomorrow Never Dies by Sheryl Crow. The worst is without a doubt 'The Man with the Golden Gun' by Lulu.... terrible.
  2. Do you mean 'Groove Coaster Zero?'
  3. Mind if I borrow that?
  4. The substitutions of Lambert and Ramirez tell me that Nigel Adkins wants to keep them as fresh as possible for mid-week. If we find ourselves in a good position v Norwich in the second half I would expect him to do the same. He as much as anyone will want to give it as good a go as possible at Anfield!
  5. No, he was unquestionably inline with the last defender if not marginally behind him when the ball is played.
  6. Well, I see what you are saying, but there is no way it would have been any less then 4 minutes of extra time. The 'game management' therefore worked beautifully.
  7. A convenient side-effect!
  8. I dissagree. I really think he is growing into his role as a first choice premier league centre back. His reading of the game and reactions are improving, the only real serious error for me yesterday was Anita being played onside by Jose Fonte. Yoshida's pace at the back as well as his commitment and reading of the game have been critical in our improving form.
  9. Pace is just like Peter Crouch's height. It can be a very blunt weapon but when used in the right way it can be startlingly effective. Many of the best sides in history have had pacey but also skillful players who could exploit weaknesses in the opposition and for many players it is key (take Michael Owen now he has lost it for example....) It cannot however become the be all and end all. It would be nice though, and thankfully on the basis of our last few games our movement and intelligence while in possession and going forward is enough to make up for our relative lack of this in our front men.
  10. More then likely visiting the 'largest Tesco in Europe on opening' in 2004 just across the way. Experiencing the future of the Fratton Park site. Good to see them taking a realistic pro-active approach to the future for a change.
  11. Taken from the match report on Football365. It wasn't just us who thought things were a little on the dodgy side!
  12. I had a dream that we kicked on and reached the cup final.... Never eat brie before bedtime.
  13. Surprised Gazza has only got 4 votes, especially after the standing ovation he received after that save.
  14. Probably the most cynical refereeing display I have ever seen, truly abysmal and as close to biased as I will probably ever witness.
  15. I couldn't possibly comment.
  16. Delap!? Rory f**king Delap!? Oh I can forgive her!
  17. Not heroic. Understandable that they want to pay respects to the man though.
  18. He who shouts loudest must be correct regardless of the overwhelmingly opposing general feeling. Is that the lesson here?
  19. No I didn't parody man.
  20. Well. The golden age of 04/05 you mentioned coincided with...... oh, what was it now. A golden age? No. That's not it. Oh, relegation and the beginning of a near fatal decline. That's it. I did not say that the business is immaterial, it's a side show and beneficiary of what happens on the pitch. It must never be the be all and end all. After all we support a football club, not the freemasons
  21. The last three seasons were immaterial then? Gotcha. Good luck with your desire for a radio station and world class catering.
  22. No idea frankly. I just support a club that has achieved back to back promotions. The business side is meaningless to me as long as the club is progressing in the long term. One season of trial compared to the prior three is frankly par. You really hate it when people don't agree with you, why?
  23. An interesting response. No, of course not exactly the same but he is proof that arseholes can get ahead. If it is in the better interests of the club who cares if Cortese is less then like-able?
  24. Do you like Simon Cowell?
  25. No. Many people I like are utter pushovers. I don't believe that being likeable is a pre-requisit of the job description of chairman.
