  1. The wing forwards type formation (4-5-1, 4-3-3 whatever...) seems to be something that is being used throughout all levels of the club. Something to allow for easy transition of blood up the chain? Hope Tadanari Lee is having a good game.
  2. Could just be a warped interpretation of a few of our transfer dealings. The Ammer Jamal deal, Buttner transfer both fell through but the Ramirez one is still pushing on, just it's a complex. Seems he's fretting over things that could have happened, yet didn't. C'est la vie.
  3. Considering the speculative tone of the rest of the conversation, I doubt it.
  4. Winchester may have had one or two odd ones out, but that city is truly Red and White.
  5. Come now PES. You know you are pathologically incapable of such a thing.
  6. Match of the Day 3. They are discussing the top ten potential transfers before the window shuts. Gaston Ramirez is on there. Mark lawrenson's immediate reaction after Colin Murray mentions how he would love the transfer to come off, a very direct 'He won't be going to Southampton.' Purely his opinion, and he is entitled to it, not particularly endeering though.
  7. Sounds a little like quality over quantity..... Although as we already have a full first team squad, development squad and thriving academy. So no, we have quantity too.
  8. Just had a look at the goals on a Sky 3D recording. The camera angle for Davis' goal is exquisite.
  9. Oh, they are an extremely well supported club, more so now then ever!
  10. You are assuming they are not plastics. When a team starts looking dominant they swarm like flies around s***.
  11. More hope then expectation. Lallana for England.
  12. Nonsense. Most of them will not be aware of football before 1992 and Sky television.
  13. The bet was on whether Saints would score at all, not the number of goals. Only one pint for you my friend.
  14. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2004/feb/01/match.sport6 We havn't taken a game to a team like this since then. Still utterly buzzing after today.
  15. While the premier League got Jos excited, for Tevez it was positively blissful.
  16. I like that, I like that a lot.
  17. With Hammond looking to be sidelined through the emergence of JWP and the signing of Davis, will Lallana as captain be a more regular feature? A product of the academy and part of the club for over a decade as captain? For me it makes a lot of sense, hopefully this will become official and permanant.
  18. Guly had one or two moments of calamity but otherwise he was good, caused city loads of problems.
  19. Really? He had a great game for me, showed a little of his usual tendancy to lack end product but worked tirelessly.
  20. He was exposed against one of the best attacking sides in the world. He did fine.
  21. Disagree, it's just a symptom of the way we play, our full backs will be a little exposed and he had very little support. He did some excellent touches and contributed well today, all of our players can hold their heads high tonight.
  22. We're Premier League! We're Premier League! We are Southampton! WE'RE PREMIER LEAGUE!!!!!
  23. We played really well.
  24. So many positives to draw from today.
  25. Whatever happens now, this shows we are not to be underestimated.
