They may have been the most successful sides our club has ever been but these are players who despite being excellent for us were past their peak. Equally some utter cloggers have been brought into the club in order to provide experience, Speedie, Dixon, Ripley etc. I would rather leave this type of transfer policy to the likes of QPR. According to an article dated yesterday. I get a feeling that there are so many games being played that we'll never know for sure if/when things have definitively fallen through, the only conclusion that could be utterly defined would be the succesful conclusion of a transfer.

It's the usual blend of emotions, there should be no doubt of the type of impact this guy could have but the mixture of disbelief, aggresion, amusement and defensive behaviour just shows that even the most negative of people on here dearly want a coup of this type to happen.

So we have a massive game of financial brinkmanship between Cortes and the Chairman of a club who are doing a passable impression of Skate bookkeeping being played out on two fronts.
