May be referencing this 'by thursday' deadline some of the Twitter lot have been mentioning.

Italians in difficult to do business with shocker.

Erm, on that basis alone, he would stay in Bologna. They have won the scudetto 7 times in their history (ok, most recently in 1964) and two Coppa Italias. The reason he will want to come here is simply, Premier League football.... and money. As such I agree with the rest of the points you are making. Implying that Bologna is a club of lesser standing is very shakey ground.

Anything to be proven right ahead of the good of the team we support. Eh Dalek?
-
How do you know we wern't? The signing of Jay Rodriguez back in mid June shows that despite the negativity that can sometimes be evident here, we have been working to strengthen the squad all summer. The Mayuka signing came out of the blue, there would have been a lot of ground work there but due to the descretion of all parties involved we didn't have a clue until it was almost concluded. Speculation about perceived lack of activity is about as prudent as fretting over the activity of Italian journalists on twitter.

For the sake of humouring the idea of Rickie being sold, difficult though it may be. It would be an incredibly ruthless and unpopular thing to do, he has surely earnt his chance to play at this level, for us. He is still our talisman, and the turnaround against man city shows that he can provide a positive influence in this league. The change in tactics we are seeing right now though do give the impression that something has to give. All these attackers and a system that no longer seems to play to Rickie's individual strengths? Is he being removed as the focal point? He has earnt the chance to play in the Premier League and it would make no sense to risk selling him to a direct rival thus strengthening them. If it was my call, he stays and fights for a place in the team. I dearly hope he doesn't go but could see a warped logic in his departure if it came to it.
-
No reason to suspect otherwise, although i'm sure relegation and three straight defeats at a lower level probably had a more direct result.

Turn your back for a second and you miss two goals! Haha.

Delighted for Chung. More now please!

Dear Mr Lawrenson......
-
A player who has never seemingly fulfilled his potential. Went from future England international to inconsistent liability at Villa. Would be a gamble.
-
But an incredible financial outlay all the same. And without the direct financial backing of aour owners, an incredible risk. We go down, their resale values also fall.

37 Million pounds in the next four days. Add to that the 7 million for Rodriguez, And 1 million in total for Steve Davis and Gazzaniga..... 45 million pounds. No, not all of that will happen.
-
If Nicola Cortese has convinced Penarol to differ a 30% sell on fee for the next transfer then that is frankly an astonishing acheivement.

I'm still looking for one guys, really would be grateful for any help here.

Players revealing messages on under their shirts after scoring
Colinjb replied to TopGun's topic in General Sports
I was sure a precident had been set for this a few years ago, a few players got into a fair bit of trouble for this type of behaviour. Thierry Henry if I am not mistaken. -
I wouldn't comment of FIFA, but even professional scouts use the statistics in Football manager as a scoping tool on potential targets. Football Manager is an excellent indicator of who is worth seeing and who isn't. Not failsafe but it is one of the biggest and most freely available databases of football players available on the planet.

Centre Back, an option that hasn't been considered.
Colinjb replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
No, i'm suggesting that if our transfer dealings do not happen as we all desire then aside from Danny Seaborne, he is the only player we have with experience of playing centre back at any competitive level. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play there, although I hope it doesn't come to that. -
Centre Back, an option that hasn't been considered.
Colinjb replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
Well, considering our current activity then lets hope it doesn't come to it. -
And within our own ranks. Jack Cork He has experience there, and considering our latest CB link is with a guy who has been converted to CB after traditionally being a defensive midfielder could he end up as an option to cover in this position if our transfer targets do not come to fruition?
-
And Mascherano. Quite a telling strategy, putting DM's at CB. Could Jack Cork be an option for providing cover at centre back?
-
Commentator's nightmare. Fonte and Fontas at centre back.

Nice compilation. But Phil Collins? Really....!?
