  1. To the tune of 'My old man's a dustman'... In-no-cente Em-eg-hara, He came from Switzerland Now he's at Southampton, He'll score up at your end. It's not a great song... but it's a song. Mines a Becks Vier.
  2. What a fail. He left in Jan 2006. That was over 5 years ago. Matt Le God, I am disappointed.
  3. The hottest day of the year, it can get serious hot in a vehicle. And Dogs apparently cannot keep themselves cool as effeciently as we do, they cannot sweat so they pant... Panting in the hot air really quickly raises their body temperature.
  4. What a d*ck. Even more of a d*ck for attempting the suicide route.
  5. Yes, oh lord they can come out with some belters.
  6. Just downloaded the demo. For anyone who is unfamiliar with the idea, the story of the game is a clumsy mixture of the 'new' 3D sonic games and the older 2D style gameplay. But hey, Sonic is 20 years old and they need to make some money. First impressions are good. The gameplay in the demo is an older '2D' section. The graphics hark back to old Sonic while being suitably 3D and up to date. The physics of it feel a lot better then Sonic 4 (Which I just couldn't like, Sonic had no momentum.) Sonic really does feel quick and it feels rather 'tight.' It can be a little hit or miss using an analogue stick but you can use the D-pad.... but on an XBox 360 controller it is in the wrong place. There are a few odd movements in the demo, after all the game is incomplete. Some ledges are a bit 'sticky' and some random invisible forces can throw you off in mid air but it's not enough to detract from the first impressions of the thing. The demo only has 14 days of play left on it. (It's time locked) but I am looking forward to the full game in November. The demo has certainly whetted my appetite.
  7. I've had second thoughts. We should pick something modest, something that will not inflame the 'arrogant' perception that some of our rivals may have of us. This would be perfect:
  8. Correct.
  9. A bit of a pain. Would have been nice to sort everything in one visit to the ticket office but for something that is 'free' in the family section anyway it's not the greatest of inconveniences.
  10. Fantastic stuff! I shall be sure to schedule some appointments in and around Kettering that day.
  11. So, on that Logic then, I won't be able to get my (future) step-daughter her first season ticket in the family enclosure when I renew on the 1st, I'll have to wait until the 14th and hope the seat next to mine is still free?
  12. It wouldn't surprise me if the Skates have generously offered us the use of their state of the art facilities.
  13. It has to be Javier de Pedro. All that time of us linked with a left winger who could complete the final piece of the puzzle after the cup final. Something to give us that attacking impact from the left after Bridgey departed. Forum member Javi swore he would be joining, we all drooled in anticipation at getting a player who was a full Spanish international and nearly won La Liga with Real Sociedad just a year or two before.... ....And we ended up with Neil McCann.... ....And when he joined Blackburn a year or so later he proved to be not very good anyway. Halcyon Days.
  14. At the end of the loan window in 2012. Only then will 'everyone' be on board.
  15. I would say absolute 'Yay' to walking out to the Skid's version of 'The Saints are Coming.' It just feels right to me. Especially after we belted it out at Wembley, the Carlisle fans had never known anything like it.
  16. Surely the only thing we are missing out on is steady cash flow. The longer the wait for the shirt the more it is anticipated and the more we will likely sell at one time (it's launch.) That we don't seem to care at the moment about getting money into the club between May and the mid July is either foolish (unlikely, NC is not an idiot, despite the theories/rantings of a few) or that we don't need to live hand to mouth, like the Skates, with our finances. Certainly, the lack of urgency to release season tickets or new merchandise would for me indicate the later option.
  17. It can only be Nigel Quashie, surely.
  18. Which two premiership teams did Saints tie for points with in 1982/83. The point will go to whoever mentions both at the same time.
  19. Although having said that and using the usual yardstick for strikers, Nugent scored 14 league goals in all competitions. Sharp scored 15 in the league alone. As far as bang for buck is concerned your Skate logic is evident.
  20. Sounds quite similar to the old James Whale show on Talksport. That kept me going back when I did all night work sessions at Uni. They came up with a few interesting topics along those lines.
  21. Christ, when a skate says that you know you have to sit up and take notice!!!!!
  22. Relax, Dad just txt me, he's in the Eclipse nursing a pint of Ringwood and reading a copy of 'In That Number.'
  23. Or it reflects that the club feel we need a bit of pace up front.
