I cannot stand the absolute break in the striped pattern. That it is built into the shirt fabric means little to me, I just find it ugly. Just like I hated it in this design: If we are to have a sponsor, I would prefer it to not interupt the stripes, just be placed above them. Just like this older friends provident design. As such, I do like the new shirt design.
-
See, I think that is attrocious. The problem is, when there is a compromise in the shirt to accomodate a sponsor it will never look absolutely right. The question will be, which compromise do people find most acceptable? And as that is subjective there will never be a total consensus.

To start with maybe. I remember the sulky bugger at the start of last season as being the issue.

How has he been this half?

I believe so. It's labelled as just the 11/12 kit. The umbro kit deal apparently lasts until 2013 though. http://www.footballshirtculture.com/sponsorship/southampton-sign-umbro-deal-until-2013.html

If at first no one listens, keep on shouting.

Considering he hasn't even been given a squad number..... Unlikely.

I suppose I see it a different way. The sponsor can never be truly integrated into the kit design, it is a foreign entity. If we played in colours that were plain it wouldn't be too tricky, but on stripes it can only distrupt them. The Air Florida shirt worked better because of it, but on our classic stripes. No chance. The closest we got to integrating a design was on the 06-08 Flybe shirt, and that was a dog. The follow on shirt with the plain white plastic screen print was in my opinion a better shirt, but still ugly. This design, like the old Friends Provident shirts at least tries to bring minimal distruption to the stripes while also standing out. Sady though it is not the bolder 'foam' type print from those few years ago, it is the flat plastic type that does feel cheaper...... and that I feel is the main problem with it... even if it's the best of the bunch.

Of course he is, there will be scouts about.

The back end of the 09/10 season seems so long ago now.

Let him get fat and useless. And ensure he cannot strengthen a rival.

You are quite right. I wonder what Burley's favourite brand of whiskey is.
-
I have seen similar, extremely interesting stuff. All the effort that can go into product only for it to be secondary to the colour of the label.

Did the club foot his bar tab at the Grosvenor I wonder? If yes it's a wonder administration didn't come sooner.

Even milk can vary though. The pasteurisation, filtration and homogenisation processes tend to be the main factors. Even if the milk itself comes from the same source (moo.....) it can still be treated in very, very different ways. There are one or two food resellers that insist on Milk having some added extras to help the taste. McDonalds for example. I'm not that sure about wine though, I could imagine that branding can have a better effect on it's saleability.

Per day a mean average of 13 minutes and 38.4 seconds. With a mean variance of 2 minutes and 5.9 seconds. Further statistical analysis can be provided if required.

Incorrect. As 1976_Child implied, different supermarkets specify different recipes for their own brand produce. I provide technical support to one of the largest food producers in the UK who have baking, preserves, cooking sauces, canning and other products in their portfolio. The constituents within every single product they make are different, even the seemingly identical 'value' products they put forward to the supermarkets. You have to be careful. For example, the difference in quantity of tomato paste in differing brands of tomato ketchup is quite staggering.

Looks to me from the video that the Saints shield and umbro logo are sewed in. The Aap3 logo is screen printed. Par for the course really. Just thank heavens it doesn't have a pointless collar. They really annoy me.
