  1. There are people who do need the benefits a responsible welfare system can bring, but things have become too soft, the system is totally open to abuse. It is therefore about time that the 'slobs' are dealt with. They must be dealt with to remove any risk of those that genuinely need it being tared with the same brush as the wasters. I doubt labour would have ever had the bottle to do it, fair play to the coalition.
  2. There are ways of making a sensible point.... and that. Dickson is listed on the club OS as a left midfielder who can provide cover at LB. Indications are that rather then one of them keeping the other out of the side they could be playing together. Yes, we do need depth in each position but the positional strengths of those two are down the entirety of the left hand side not just in the back line. Harding's forward runs and few goals showed he is not just a plodding left back, he can be more dynamic. Dickson equally appears to be an attacking left back/midfielder, play both him and Harding together and we would be rock solid on that flank with attacking posibilities mixed in. Puncheon as well can provide a more out and out attacking flair option out there if we need it. Sounds like we have every option covered there then! Giving the depth you desire (and are correct about.... but no need to be totally patronising with it...) as well as multiple tactical options. The right side now needs to be sorted.
  3. It seems to me that a lefthand side of Harding at LB and Dickson at LM with the two being able to cover each other and allow forward runs at will would be the most logical answer here.
  4. I'm glad they failed. No chance of any gung ho over the top celebrations now in a sport the majority of their populace doesn't even care about.
  5. No, they don't actually mind us that much. They view us a bit like some of us view Bournemouth.
  6. If you fart i'll kill you.....
  7. Frown upon it? I certainly would, especially if the guy concerned is a mate. There are some bridges you do not cross and that is one of them. If there really is something between 'you' (I assume this is about a situation you are currently in, appologies if i'm wrong) and the girl. And if you are not hurting anyone close to you by getting together with her and the prior relationship ending then it is still dodgy, but not terrible.
  8. I am English. I was born in England to English parents. The football team I support plays in the english league structure and I follow and support the exploits of our national football team; England. Do not call me British. I am English.
  9. I would rather he did a Patrick Stewart to be fair.
  10. Sorry, I can't feel sorry for them.

  12. 2-2 now, that would be superb!
  13. Wow, Not bad for a nation of 2 million population. No way was that offisde, played through perfectly.
  14. 1-0 doesn't do it justice, that was a stunning goal, best of the tournament so far for me. Howard was stranded from a 35 yards strike straight infront of him. Blinding.
  15. Great shout, a VW Lupo without the premium.
  16. I do like the look of that one, it may be pushing the price a little too far to be accepted by the Financial Director though. The Volvo V50 with Start/Stop is looking appealing right now. The Octavia is very much in there as my fall back option, as I know I will be able to get a very good spec one.

  18. According to the poll. Up your A**e.
  19. If I see a Vuvuzela at St Mary's I will not be accountable for my reaction.
  20. Hmmm, interesting! #Makes note of those nations as starter points for his world domination plan.#
  21. Couldn't say. The tickets are being sent out mid way through July. We will know then.

Are they all finished working concepts or just styling mules?
  23. In summary, you cannot please all of the people all of the time. You can however please most of them!!
  24. Bored and living up to your forum username quite nicely! Looking for something wrong when really, there isn't at all. Nothing wrong with playing Devil's advocate mind!
  25. How would I feel about the idea of Markus and Cortese only becoming involved because they see the potential to make money....... I would not be surprised at all, in fact, I am delighted at that. They seem to appreciate that a pragmatic long term view would need to be taken on this in order for it to work, and based on the sums they've put in, we would need to be pushing for Europe in the premiership for it to be justifiable. I am really looking forward to the next few years! As for what happens in terms of PR and fan relations. Well, i've not been put off so far. I am in fact impressed by their professionalism. Cortese has stuck by his statement issued back in May and the fact that we, as fans, seem to demand information and clarification to everything on tap speaks far more about our mentality then it does about them. There is only one decision where I can understand a negative reaction, the season ticket payment plan withdrawl, yet it's withdrawl seems to fit the business philosophy of Markus Leibherr and Cortese, pay what you can afford up front, do not accumulate debt. While it may be draconian to impose this on people who do not agree with that ideology, you cannot fault their consistency. It is a fact that we, as fans, are a resource. The big clubs are (or where) because they had the most fans. I do not however feel, as a fan, like I did under previous regimes, that I am simply being used as a cash cow. Our season ticket prices are reasonable, the gesture like the launch day for the shirt was excellent (particularly after the long wait) and crucially...... I am loving the standard of football we now seem capable of and we will not fulfill the aims that Markus and Cortese have unless the standard of football is kept high. THAT is what I want from my club, winning football. They are obviously commited to that. If he is an abrassive b*stard, who cares! If he gets the job done and we progress on the pitch to match this guys obvious ambition, outstanding!
