  2. Sometimes the reactions of some posters on here are hillarious! And 1-0, excellent. Keep it up lads.
  3. 'Up' made my go a bit. As did 'Marley and Me.' I am a bit of a girl when it comes to these things.
  4. I had a 'referal' once, not sure what it was for, but to my knowledge i've never had any 'points' given for my behaviour. Almost dissapointing that i've been so 'good.'

    Pulis

Or at least give him a vague chance of finding a club before he is released into the wild.
  6. No, liquidation is the prefered option. Then they go back to being nothing, not even a credible rival. Just as they have been for the vast majority of my life.
  7. Good to hear, thanks for the feedback. Hopefully more who were there today can add to this thread.
  8. Reading that feed it sounds as though Dickson is playing in a more forward role. The predictions of a Dickson/Harding left hand side are coming true.
  9. Hells yes! Get in!
  10. Nothing's happening I take it then.....
  11. Give it a rest mr condescending.
  12. Any idea of the squad for today? Any trialists?
  13. Incorrect. The Eclipse is Winchester's best pub.
  14. He's Ghanaian, He's Quick, He's got an enourmous,.......... #ahem#
  15. Oh, if it works fair enough, but it's not really 'stylish' now. Would rather see long range Lambert specials, teasing forward runs from Lallana/Puncheon and space making defence splitting movement off the ball from Barnard and Connolly. Or am I being too picky!?
  16. The Southampton Style: Lumping it upfield to Lambert and bringing the poachers into play? Lets hope not.
  17. The Gurkha Chef. My favourite curry house.
  18. Just checked, doesn't look anything special.
  19. Will be interesting to see if a paper fanzine will be able to work in this digital age. I wish you luck guys.
  20. That's the thing, it's when the whole rounded side of a personality is lost and opinions/agendas become focused that posters appear to become Troll like.

    Cup Song

A complete sidetrack, but the look of fear when my housemate caught me typing 'Southampton Boys Single' into Google as an attempt to check the song's chart position was priceless!
  22. Sorry Alpine, I agree with you on some occasions but the consistency of negativity does class you as an unintentional troll. There are a lot worse on the forum though and there are rare occasions your glass half empty attitude can provoke some moments of cold realisation.

    Cup Song

It really did. I was at my then-girlfriends place watching top of the pops and nearly spat my beer at the TV when I saw it had got to #17 or something.

    Cup Song

Well, we did have that really quite bad 'Southampton Boys' song back in 2003. That made the Singles Top 20.
  25. This is how coaching in this country is flawed. You need to instill a winning mentality but there is too much focus on winning at all costs. Pick the big kids and the quick kids, ignore the skillfull luxuries. They are kids... this is about teaching skills and keeping it fun. Do not set specific positions at this age just teach the basic skills. Keep the team rotated and when they get to 12 they should then start to become specialised. But even then keep training mixed up. Too many clubs go for muscle, fitness and power and discard the smaller kids. If you want to really go for the skills buy yourself a book teaching 'Coever' coaching methods (the dutch system) it thinks outside of the box but is inspired.
