It doesn't to me. One man gave so much of his own fortune to help our club that I truly am amazingly grateful and incredibly saddened by his passing. He will be missing out on so much enjoyment through passing before his time. Read my blog for more details of why I feel as I do.

Yeah, the impatience from Cortese in terms of demanding promotion. The random tour of Switzerland. The seemingly random selflessness of the takeover. His evidently schoolboy love of the JPT final. I hope he got as much joy from his time in charge as we did. It is as Tragic as it is incredible. But why us!?

Who knows. Illness does make things seem to make a lot more sense though.

I am not ashamed to say I wept a little in the car when the news broke. So sudden. Thankyou for a wonderful 13 months Markus, I've had so much fun watching our revival, I hope it gave you the same joy. For the sake of your memory we must now push on.

He isn't perfect. No-one is. Looking at the bigger picture though I am delerious. From the scrap heap to ruthless ambition in 13 short and enjoyable months. I will happily take the rougher edges of Cortese's personality if it also brings the success he craves.
