  1. Why did I renew my forum subscription? Someone please remind me.
  2. If the Skates go bust we will have no local rivals. As for future rivalry? No, our rivals are the Skates and whatever pheonix club would rise from the ashes (If it comes to that...).
  3. That's just it, it's really not. I actually like to see Bournemouth do well! I want us to win, but wouldn't mind if Bournemouth do. I was amazed at my ambivalence when the fixture was drawn but here we are.
  4. Proximity isn't the issue. The fact I don't care is.
  5. I just can't get motivated to go to see this game. And to think they reckon this is a derby? Rediculous.
  6. O'Neil. But Pardew is a bl**dy excellent manager for League 1 level. He will never reach the 'perfection' many demand but he will do more then just a job for us.
  7. Must be the fall out from losing another player to Man City. Why try to build a team when every single major talent will be immediately snapped up?
  8. Whoever thought up the idea of a 'Beef Madras Pasty' needs a medal. No food ran out in the family stand and virtually no queuing. Outstanding.

Hello Yes, my Mum lives up in Qawra, one of the touristy towns on the island's north coast. If you want to avoid clubs do not stay at Paceville/St Julians. It's the night life centre for the island and can get quite rowdy. Qawra is good, lively enough to enjoy but not so loud for it to be too much, many bars/restaurants. etc. Buggiba is the ajoining town to Qawra and is a bit like Blackpool in the med. If you want a holiday with all the brit trimmings it'll do you proud! Don't worry about transport, the buses are excellent and conveneint, you can cover the island from end to end in less then 45 minutes. Based on what you are asking for try looking for Hotels in Mellieha bay, Qawra (NOT Buggiba) and Valetta. There is an awesome hotel in Mdina called the Xara Palace, referenced further up the thread if you have the cash, it's stunning.
  10. I am usually a bit 'happy clappy' about club matters but I can't help but be a bit cautious. It just doesn't feel right being most people's favourites to win the league. At least as underdogs the feeling is greater when you do win.
  11. Good news regarding the attitude of the player(s). Can't wait for kick off today.
  12. A win to go fourth at Xmas time. Funny how it was downhill for 5 years after that until last season. There is only one team in Hampshire..... but I hope the pretenders do survive in a funny way. Simply dying in one stroke is too easy on them. Let them suffer a long a protracted humiliation. Make them really pay for cheating as outrageously as they have. Funny how a club likes to play with the big time pro's yet pleads for sporting chance when it bites them on the arse. F*cking filth.
  13. It's wayyyyy baggier. I had a Large last season it was too tight, this year I have a large and it's too baggy.
  14. Not quite the awe inspiring rallying cry I was hoping for but nonetheless I trust him and Cortese to back him. Come on you Saints!
  15. Wayyyy back in time now, but that was just an honest mistake.
  16. And.............
  17. In summary, the hone shirt has been an overwhelming success. Beyond the expectations even of the manufacturer. All credit to the club for giving the fans something they have loved!
  18. I will be more cynical and world weary after games. The joy of things will be removed and I shall be utterly serious at all times. That should make for a fun year win lose or draw.
  19. Romance and money making all in one night. We have a winner.
  20. Probably had to hit it long ball though didn't they? No decent technique just hit and lump. This shows shortfalls in the academy system particularly the coaching and infrastructure. Who's fault is that eh? Bl**dy Cortese the evil sod. He ran over my kitten today as well... yeah, my kitten. The world will end soon, hell will rise and rivers of blood will flow through Hampshire and its. all. his. fault. On the other hand we did win tonight....
  21. Nonsense, you're all mental and so is my wife.
  22. As much a decent test of our fringe players/nippers against competitive Conference South opposition then anything else. If they win it'll be a very good effort on their part.
  23. Docker-P will be pleased.
  24. Would be handy if his load includes the black away kit.... save me 36 quid in the shop on Saturday.
  25. Only 5 days now until all of the rumours and other rubbish from the off season no longer matter, all of the talking will be done where it should be, on the pitch. About bloody time too! Can't wait, the world cup simply cannot make up for the three months where Saints are not playing at the weekend. Here's to a good one guys and the journey on the way.
