JK is a pain and continues to become more widepsread. There are some novel treatments starting to emerge, including the possible introduction of another invasive species to control it (who knows if that is a good idea)! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/gardening/8293993/Japanese-knotweed-might-just-have-met-its-match.html

In my job I sometimes have to deal with problems related to invasive species (usually plants like japanese knotweed and Giant Hogweed) and I also hear about the carnage things like signal crayfish are causing, so can understand why restrictions are needed. I also undertake a lot of work regarding sewage pollution of coastal waters and I would suggest that may not be as big a problem as many people think. Waste water treatment technology has come on leaps and bounds in recent years, with nutrient stripping and UV treatment now common. Water quality around our bathing beaches is certainly better now than 20 years ago. Plus the sea is nature's sewage treatment works, rain has always washed the excrement of animals from the land into the sea for millions of years (yes we do intensify this somewhat) but there are plenty of microbes and filter feeders that thrive on the nutrients in the diffuse "pollution" flushed into the sea every day.

yeah it looks pretty good, i cant seem to find how much it is going to cost though. If it is around 6k it may fit my needs perfectly.

Got mine now, about 30 mins after being put in the queue.

Nice one thanks!

Am a ST holder, so don't usually have to worry about getting tickets, but have a couple of friends that want to come to the home game against Man City. I've just tried logging on to the online sales system and have been put in a queue and given a queue number. Is that number how many people are in front of me in the queue, as it has not gone down in the last 5 minutes?

Am currently erring towards the Honda CBR500R (rather than the naked version I was first drawn to). Good reviews and enough power for me and I think it looks great, modern engine good economy, ABS etc. I does help that there is a Honda main dealer less than a mile from my house. The SV650 is getting on a bit now and I have heard that the build quality is not brilliant, but will try and book a test ride to see what I think. Or could go for the KTM Duke 390, but again I've heard concerns about build quality. The XJ6 and ER6 are not that much smaller or lighter than my old BMW, so don't really fancy them. Plus would have to go 2nd hand as I couldn't afford them new.

Perhaps his forthcoming court cases? Or is that just me being cynical?

Any car/bike dealers out there, if I were to buy a brand new motorbike, what kind of % discount should I be able to save on the list price?

I actually really looking forward to this games now, despite the overpriced ticket. I hope that we pass the ball crisply and get some confidence boosting goals. Bringing my Spurs supporting boss with me to this one, he seems fairly open to convertion to saints, as he likes live footy but never goes up to WHL. COYR do us proud.

Cheers, Waterside. I have a Suzuki dealership about 1 min walk from my house, plus managed to sell the BMW K100 a few weeks ago and sold my BMW 635csi earlier today, so have a big wadge of cash burning a hole in my pocket. Just googled the SV650, looks great from the front, why do so many modern bike have such ugly front ends?

This had made me very happy.

And not to forget the monkey-chicken petting zoo.

Franny's goal and the Le Tiss miss, but had to settle for listening to the ZDS semi (Chelsea) on the radio.

One bad result does not make a bad manager.

Seabourne started again today for Yeovil against Brum in the cup, Hoskins again came on as a late sub. 3-3 AET Hoskins stepped up to take the first pen in the shoot out, and missed. Seabourne took one and scored, but Yeovil lost 3-2 on pens.

That obviously is only correct from a fans perspective. If the game was easily sold out in advance then the ticket prices clearly could have been higher and income from the fixture greater, from the clubs perspective. It has been covered on here before that to get the optimum income from a fixture, the club should price high enough so that the last ticket is sold at a premium price (plus booking fee) to the last person to roll up to the stadium just before kick-off. It is clear that we are being run as a business and the fans are the customers, the business wants to get the maximum income from the customers as possible (without alienating them too much).

Puncheon to Palace - Official (Season Loan)
StDunko replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
My guess (and that is all it is) is that Punch, true to previous form, threw his toys out the pram when he didn't make the squad for the West Brom game. MP prefered to have his disruptive attitude out of the squad, so agreed to loan him out. If he had stayed, I'm sure he would have been a bit-part player this year, no doubt with some important contributions, but as mentioned earlier in the thread we don't seem to utilise out and out wingers much under MP and we have plenty of out attacking options that do suit MP's formations, so letting him go is no real disaster. I forgave him for his previous indiscretions, because he returned with some good performances, but I don't think that we are going to be any worse off without him around. Good luck to him, I appreciate the contributions he did make. -

Agree that he seems a talent on the pitch, but was it him that got a fine for breaking gambling rules? If so perhaps not the brightest spark off the field.

FREE HIGHLIGHTS: Southampton 4-3 Real Sociedad

Many thanks for the vid. -
Went to watch Yeovil v Brum today. Seabourne had a pretty good game (scored a own goal, but only because a ball was headed against him following a corner and dropped in, nothing he could do about it). He look more assured than I ever remember him being for us. Played well alongside Yeovil's other centre back Webster. Hoskins came on as a sub in the 2nd half and totally failed to impress.
