  1. What a privilege that would be, might have to treat myself to a half and half scarf to mark the occasion
  2. I'm not sure where we stand on FFP spending etc but it was mentioned earlier in the year the club would have made est £1M from Liverpool away in shared gate receipts and being TV pick, this FA Cup run will add a few quid to the budget as well in prize money , I can see us having Arsenal away next round
  3. Bragg looks like he has so much belief and looks like he's really enjoying himself , nice to see a local lad involved like that and can learn so much from Romeu on other parts of his game, great for his development
  4. I certainly don't think we'll see a repeat of the away game first half, Charlton have looked well organised in recent weeks, Jones doing a good job. I don't think he'll act up on the touchline at St Mary's though, he'll be too distracted watching the love of his life James Bree Tonda might try to be clever with the line up considering we play QPR a few days later , it's a massive week really, Charlton (H), QPR (H) , Sheffield Wednesday (A) got to keep the run going aim for 7 points at a minimum
  5. And Steven Davis as his assistant, good appointment I think
  6. The u21s are due to play away to Norwich tomorrow (Friday) afternoon so will get some idea from that who will be involved. Any players WAGS posting pictures from Dubai again?
  7. Have we ever worn yellow in a home game before? I remember the random special white shirt we had at home to Coventry in the Cup a few years ago , and have worn 'away' kits in pre-season friendlies like pink vs Lazio but can't recall a yellow one, certainly in a competitive game. Anyway, YELLOWS YELLOWS YELLOWS
  8. Agree, I'll forgive losing to Norwich as they look like one of the Championships best sides now, but defeats to Blackburn and Oxford were shocking. We should beat the Skates comfortably when you compare players but being a derby does seem to level things up.
  9. I genuinely think that Championship clubs have a disincentive to progress in this competition, just look at the fixture schedules , the Premier League keep a completely clear calendar for rounds 5 and quarter final, if they progress = no fixtures to reschedule. If we progress it opens up a whole headache of fixture backlog March 7th we're due to be home to Norwich, good chance that will need to move if either we progress or Norwich beat West Brom at home. April 4th - Easter weekend, we are due to play Ipswich (H) on friday 3rd, Wrexham (A) Monday 6th. Potentially two fixtures to reschedule. Wrexham play Ipswich in 4th round so one of them is sure to be in round 5. FA Cup dates. Fifth Round Proper: Saturday 7 March 2026 Quarter Final: Saturday 4 April 2026
  10. Yeah good point, he didn't look comfortable at all , treatment lasted for a few minutes but he did manage to play on , hopefully whatever that was can sort itself out without missing a game
  11. I think the recent good run of results has given the morale a boost , would be a shame to lose that momentum buts it's inevitable that most of the starting XI will change, expect Leicester will do similar, I wouldn't be surprised if this goes to penalties, I'll predict 1-1 in normal time. Being Valentines day i expect we'll see a number of fans bringing loved ones, perhaps even a half time proposal on the pitch, haven't had one of those for a while , get to sing you don't know what you're doing for the bantz
  12. They were singing that and "it's happened again, it's happened again, Southampton it's happened again" when they went three up, I feared the worst at that point
  13. Going to be a season defining result that isn't it , I still can't believe it
  14. At 3-0 down Leicester fans were singing we want 9 and 'Southampton, it's happened again ' Just home now, it's a funny old game as Saint and Greavsie would say
  15. No genuinely left , one of life's lessons , was back in pub when. Goals.went in
  16. Left at 3-0 , fucked it right up. Fuck sake Saints
  17. In the 1993/94 PREMIER LEAGUE season i went to Saints v Chelsea on 27th December followed by Manchester City v Saints 28th December, marvellous stuff
  18. Agree it does my head in, they approach playing matches with trepidation, oh no it's a 3 game week, how will we manage. Work on getting the players fitter Saints and it might not be so daunting
  19. Yeah to compensate for that we need others in the squad to start taking their chances, feels like Azaz should score more from chances he gets. Of course we might not need to score as many now we're a team who can keep clean sheets
  20. I wouldn't make any changes at all unless we absolutely have to with injury to Downes, I did think most of our team look absolutely knackered in the last few minutes against Watford, yet we'd had all week to prepare whilst they'd had a game up at Hull. Saints coaches need to address lack of fitness in the squad rather than calculating which players need resting all the time
  21. It really is a three horse race for the title, surprised to see Hull and Millwall so far out, is there a similar odds table for finishing top 6? Would be interesting to see where we are for that
  22. Tonda and the data boys don't want our players to miss minutes through injury, they'd rather they missed minutes preventing injury
  23. 50 years ago a team in the 2nd division went to Wembley and shocked the footballing world to win the FA Cup, I know that was then but it could be again....
  24. Think they just included a few questions about it post match after Watford on Saturday , I've got a feeling we'll see a few changes as we're so obsessed with managing the minutes of some players
