Football Special

Ironically Manning and Stephens were the goal scorers in our only home win in the last year

It's a very German thing, happens at all the games there where the crowd loudly shout each players name , can't imagine it catching on with us

I remember that, new years eve wasn't it in the championship though I think

Any basis to this?

Game is live on sky main event , 8pm ko, sold out away end 3,414 impressive numbers for a Tuesday night , hope we get something to cheer.

I would say a draw is very likely. Watched some of their game v Oxford and wasn't impressed , I think we'll struggle against their style though, we'll lose the ball in midfield they'll hit us on counter, also have big lad up top who is a bit of a handful

I think it's fair to say we don't want Martin back, but also acknowledge Martin was a better manager than Still in this league

I think as many people as possible need to copy and paste this post and email to Saints , subject FAO Sports Republic Ps those two home wins were far from convincing.

Ha yeah Cov have scored 29 goals in 10 games, we've scored 11 🤣 We'll be lucky to score that many by the new year

It's mad and I don't really blame Downs for this, it's all on Spors and his recruitment team

Media outlets still rubbing it in, laughing stock , by the time we play Preston it will be a year since Everton at home, one home win since then in 12 months, no wonder fans have had enough

Not looking good 😕

Feels like for that to happen we need to nick a few 1-0 wins , the 3 CB approach at home to teams like Swansea just doesn't make sense to me but perhaps Still is going for clean sheet safety first approach on the basis we're not capable of scoring goals I guess that makes sense. Don't concede then always have a chance

Official attendance of 27,256 but i'd say less that 27k in ground with season ticket no-shows, 4000 empty seats, fans starting to vote with their feet (and wallets) Warning to Sports Republic, apathy is building They're just lucky we have so many season ticket holders

It's a proper bogey ground for us. Wasn't it where we ended our 25 games unbeaten run under Martin? I'm afraid Mr Still's magnificent 4 game unbeaten run will probably go the same way. I've said the same thing in every build up thread, just can't see where the goals will come from, draw at best

Swansea were poor and there for the taking, we did not need three centre backs Crowd around me have had enough, players looked a bit dejected when boos rang out , fans expect better they should know that

Of course it's not all Still's fault, but 3 centre backs against Swansea sitting deep in a home match, he's a coward of a manager. Please please please Northam end banner next game just say "SPORTS REPUBLIC FUCK OFF YOU BUNCH OF CUNTS"

Yeah the propaganda (on here mostly) about how good our players are is over at least, regardless of manager I'm not having the bollocks about what a good squad we have any more

Got to go Sports Republic need to start receiving some proper abuse as well , should be scared to show their faces at St Mary’s

Try this should take you straight through https://tickets.southamptonfc.com/selection/event/seat?perfId=10229097922367&choiceSelectionDone=true&productId=10229068758500

To be fair he's a young inexperienced manager, he probably is out of his depth, whether he can learn to swim in the choppy waters of the championship is TBC

Yeah bottom half championship, early kick off, ticket prices are too high - particularly for kids. Away corner holding just over 3000 will have about 900 in it leaving big 2k empty which is amplified by us having 1000 unsold either side of away fans as well. Probably be our lowest league attendance for a long time, 27k probably

All group games have Cat 1 to 4, it's pricing based on where the seat is so cat 4 in the corners, cat 1 half way line etc
