  1. Went there with low expectations, thought we played alright, shame we couldn't have held onto the lead for a bit longer though. I blame our fans singing "how shit must you be we're winning away" Good celebrations in our end for Archers goal, enjoyed that, we had a few chances, Dibling good effort and Fernandes just over the bar. Tall Paul looked a lot livelier than we'd seen in previous cameos, need to get more crosses in for him, such a handful that he'll create space for others. Not sure if Leicester game will be right for him but he deserves some more chances to show he can make a difference
  2. Think he's a bit unlucky to be in England u19 squad still and not promoted to u20 or u21s, also u19 play 3 games in international break, seems a bit much for someone featuring regularly at Premier league level
  3. Koeman out!
  4. Might have just been an onion for him then, jumbo sausage for Pinder.
  5. Can always rely on the railways to add some extra misery to an away defeat https://x.com/SW_Help/status/1841523558524043281?t=2pb3-jkgB81eCRrj0Tn5ww&s=19
  6. Sammy with have his hands full
  7. Don't hear that song enough nowadays
  8. Last time we were relegated Arsenal couldn't beat us, take some inspiration from this , Martin could give Selles a bell for some tips , whatever happened to Alcaraz?
  9. Remember that one mate, think Yoshida came on for his debut and had to be shown where to stand for a corner, some of the defending was up there with what we've seen this season
  10. Don't feel too sorry for us, it's a day out with your pals have a few shandies in some good old London pubs, the game is just part of the day
  11. That's brilliant, well played Jack 👏
  12. Seems excessive, I don't recall other examples like this.
  13. 9-0 Only joking, we're due a league win away at Arsenal
  14. Disappointing the Kingsland stand is closed, was planning to treat myself to a padded seat in block 31 https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/southampton-vs-stoke
  15. They will Grandad, they will. *depending on your definition of a good time (I'm including exciting cup runs, promotions etc)
  16. You say that, but I'm not sure he is, was hanging around a fish and chip shop at the weekend, might have just been having chips and a pickled onion I suppose
  17. You can only truly appreciate the good times once you have experienced the bad. Philosophy.
  18. Discussion last night at half time, will we manage another 9-0 on this visit to the Premier league?
  19. I don't disagree with you, there were some particularly frustrating games, but last season was still a refreshing change after the previous years relegation and I do "miss" the championship (yes I know we'll be back there soon enough)
  20. One other point from last night - what a terrible away day Bournemouth is, tiny allocation, no atmosphere in the ground, took an age to get into the ground with queueing and multiple searches, coppers stood there with a camera filming you getting searched , suppose they had to do something to justify their days wages , home fans barely managing a song except a muffled "scummers get battered everywhere they go" near the end, wish I could get my £2 back I put in their buckets when we had a whip round to save them late 90s.
  21. I think Lallana was brought in to add experience, Wee Man as well, but neither look capable of playing a whole match Just a shame we couldn't offload ABK, Sulemana and Tall Paul, wages combined just on those three could have gone a long way to decent centre forward Cornet certainly doesn't seem to be the answer
  22. Walker Peters is being frozen out due to his contract situation, Sugawara has been decent to be fair but another crazy situation where one of our best players isn't featuring.
  23. It's hard work I give you that, keep the faith though. I genuinely could not imagine my kids supporting a different team, would feel weird, Difficult for the youngsters in the modern era relentlessly subjected to the premier league / champions league hype by the media , but it's soulless football for soulless consumers , attaching themselves to winning teams because they want to be associated with success despite never actually going to games.
  24. Time to bin the premier league campaign off and focus on this competition, our best / only chance of some enjoyment this season
