  1. Remember the days when you always left a striker on their final defender. It would have forced them to leave one more defender back (Despite the forward being Downs). As it was, their one defender just collected with no pressure and simply recycled.
  2. Fair play, the defence threw their bodies on the line. Baz a contradiction as always. One good save and then two howlers, one that didn't cost us. We just don't have a decent GK. Can we recall Ramsdale in January?
  3. In the space of a minute, AA fails to hold the ball up and Manning and Robinson miss simple passes. Still wasn't great as a manager but christ we can't do the very basics.
  4. Fucking quality, I just pissed myself laughing - as opposed to our squad who will be pissing themselves in fear.
  5. Yes, yes and fucking yes. He'll tear a few of them a new one. Expect pants being shat all over the training ground.
  6. Just what I was thinking. So another left field appointment incoming. It's like a nightmare we can't wake up from. Nurse!
  7. It's a good point but none of them are 'gobby' on the pitch. None of them shout, point, encourage, get on at someone when needed. Of course being gobby with no ability isn't great either but surely we can strike a balance. Nothing feels right about the club at the moment. Nothing.
  8. Striker yes, plus a couple of experienced players who know this league and can support the younger players on the pitch.
  9. He's so obviously a fraud and SR need to stop being clever pricks and appoint an experienced manager, with funds in January. But who knows with them in charge.
  10. If that's his presser, I think we'll be well beaten on Saturday. Fight back...with what? If we were as good in games as we are in training...FFS.
  11. It's a valid point but ultimately what it indicates is that the club is rotten from top to bottom. I'll assume that surely the new players aren't the problem (But who knows).
  12. I'd like to think this and that Saturday is just a dead rubber for him - but this is SR and I'm not sure they're that intelligent/organised/give a shit.
  13. Jesus, the club is an absolute cluster fuck basket case. They had the chance to sort it this out in the summer. I have zero confidence SR can improve things. They couldn't sort out a load of odd socks.
  14. Seriously starting to think the board are so shit that they don't know what good and bad decisions look like on the pitch. But four wins in what feels like a hundred years...if they can't work out that's a frightening stat, then they need to fuck off now.
  15. Seriously? At professional level? That's just as pathetic. Woeful situation. It happens a lot in this league, he knew that and he hasn't prepared the squad accordingly. And he fucked up the subs too so there is zero reason to keep him.
  16. He's just written his P45. Gone.
  17. Surely he can't survive this amount of incompetence. Possibly up there with the worst substitution in football - like ever. So negative.
  18. If things keep going the way they are we will all be able to count alot more than 4,000 holes in the stands at St. Mary's.
  19. I'm predicting we will be 1-0 down with 10min to go and Still will send Stewart on with one good leg and a crutch, given that's a better option than DD with two good legs. We still lose. Of fuck it, who cares - certainly not the players, manager or owners as far as I can tell 🤣
  20. What the actual fuck is going on. Apparently the media were told Fellows was sick and not available then comes off the bench. It's a shit show from top to bottom on and off the pitch. Listened on the radio and you could've written the script once we missed chances to go 2-1 up. Why did we not buy an experienced, gobby player to help the younger players. Why not another striker to cover a fragile Stewart. Glaring holes in the squad. Lose on Saturday and who knows where we might end up. Can't see any improvement whilst SR continue as owners. As for Still - he's just throwing names in the air and hoping it all falls right.
  21. Seem to remember going there for an FA Cup match, late 70s? It was heaving. Lost 2-0 although I could be misremembering. Probably same score this time but let's hope for something out of the ordinary for a change.
  22. This. There's a horrible malaise across all aspects of the club. Still can't put the ball in the net for them but it goes deeper than that. Nobody is making good decisions from the owners to the players. Horrible time. No idea how it's going to change. Lower mid table is the best we're likely to get.
  23. Given the amount of money I've paid them, I bloody hope so.
  24. Fair point but sadly we don't have anyone who can then do the only bit that matters.
  25. Plus some managers are capable of coming in and lifting a team immediately. That just hasn't happened. Something is not right and we will know in the next 2-3 games if Still has any chance of turning this around. I'll accept SR not bringing a decent striker in hasn't helped but this isn't the PL and we have enough to be winning games of football in this league. If he starts getting results then back him with a striker in January and kick on - but I'm probably being wildly optimistic on that becoming a reality.
