  1. I thought that too. Didn't he say something along the lines of I don't know how to teach them these things anymore? That's not a manage who's usually around for long.
  2. Spot on. It's an insult to all our supporters but especially when they trek away in shit weather to witness another shit performance. And as for Adam Blackmore talking about needing to buy goals in January - laughable, we had all summer to do that and we will be practically relegated by then anyway. The whole thing is like living in a bad nightmare. Happy Christmas 😂
  3. Apparently neither does the owner, the board, the manager and probably the few decent players we have, because they'll go elsewhere. Shocking situation. If they're banking on immediate promotion again, they're idiots. Staying on topic though, 3-1 Villa without breaking sweat.
  4. I feel that didn't age well.
  5. Unless it's a 30 yard worldy, I can't see a goal from us in that line up. So once they score, it's game over, just try and keep it to a minimum. I'll now stop stating the bleeding obvious and make a start on the beers to numb the pain.
  6. I reckon the Saints players are already in the dark 😉
  7. I know Wood is bad but I don't think he's dead.
  8. Way better second half than that pathetic effort at Wolves. Seems we may have learnt something at last. Good point against a good team. Shame the one critical VAR decision was poorly handled but we just have to accept it. I feel weirdly content despite the awful first half performance.
  9. He was beyond the ball, and from the angle behind the goal it's a natural movement and had no opportunity to affect the outcome with some vague raising of his heel. It did nothing to impact either their defenders, keeper or direction of the ball. Wrong decision, poor refereeing.
  10. Some form of horrible defeat. Is it me, or does it all just feel a bit weird. Like being in the football version of purgatory.
  11. The Downes experiment kind of worked for 20 minutes but a team with the quality of Liverpool were always going to find a way around it. But we shouldn't have to be tinkering 12 games in. A decent coach would have found a settled team by now with best players in their best positions. RM is just not good enough to do that.
  12. RM said we needed to be more attacking which to be fair we were. Problem is, we shipped three. He's had 12 games to get the balance right which is several games too many. He gets it wrong pretty much every time and the constant tinkering with players/positions is costing us. Should be shown the door but can't see it happening this season now. Agree with those that say we have a squad capable of staying up but not with him in charge.
  13. Wolves, Palace and Ipswich are all scoring goals and look capable of winning games. Everton have a tough run to Xmas like us but Dyche will probably scrape them a few points. Leicester slipping a bit and maybe another team will hit a bad patch and slide back; but which three teams are we going to prove better than come May. Just can't see it, which at this stage of the season really pisses me off.
  14. I've said that to my wife on many occasions and she doesn't believe it either.
  15. I'm going Liverpool to win 6 -0/0 That's no goals and no shots on goal. That said, I'll maintain my days of childlike hope for a Saints win.
  16. Definitely not me 🤣
  17. Careful. Gio will be on your case for daring to question their absolute loyal to RM 😂
  18. Yes, yes and thrice yes. Does he have the quality of player to utilise his system? No. Will Saints ever have that quality of squad? Very unlikely - so for me there's no logic in keeping him. Reckon they will though. They all seem to be prepared to go down with the sinking ship. What a mess.
  19. According to RM "We don't beat the opponent quite enough yet" - try 10 times out of 11 you muppet The guy is delusional.
  20. Just seems both SR and RM have completely underestimated what is needed to compete at this level. And I'm not even talking about winning, just being competitive. They have one chance now, right now, to possibly change this by bringing in an experienced manager who does at least know what's needed. I promised myself I'd try and enjoy this season even if we were relegated - but I assumed we'd be competitive, show some fight and spirit and a plan that meant we might not go down. How naïve if me 🤣
  21. Right. Second half against the only team who were below us at 3pm. Absolutely go for it. If we lose I at least want to see stats saying 15 shots at goal, six on target and less than 50% possession- otherwise Martin can fuck off.
  22. Thing is, can we take advantage of that luck. Hoping we do and then maybe, just maybe it's the start of something more positive. If we're beaten, then it was just that, a lucky win and we're back to square one. I just don't see how RM picks them back up from a defeat today and given the games ahead it could get very grim. But I've given up expecting them to show him the door anytime soon.
  23. Ramsdale to have a blinder, we nick it with a late winner, having finally hypnotised their defence to sleep, by knocking the ball endlessly from side to side. RM spends the international break on holiday with Pep.
  24. I guess a win is a win but we're so hard to watch. We won through serious amounts of luck and in spite of Martin, not because of anything he did today.
