  1. Positives - a win and JS having to go off. How did the two debutants do?
  2. I keep predicting we'll lose, so for the hell of it 2-1 to Saints. Nurse! I need my medication again.
  3. This is why I can't see us getting to 12 points. Most of the players have given up already. Only chance is if we're somehow 0-0 at 93 mins and Nick a goal. Twice. Even at 93 mins I wouldn't bet on us holding out πŸ˜…
  4. We don't have a single tough character in this squad. They're all just drifting through till the season ends. What a mess. Silence from the board. Pathetic.
  5. Motivating and keeping players interested when you know you're down by New Year was always going to be a challenge. Maybe they are genuinely injured but I doubt anyone would rush back. No doubt someone will bang on about them being professional at all times blah blah; but they're human beings and the situation is so shit it's bound to reduce motivation for some if not all the players. In terms of a result, given injuries probably means AA starting 3-1 to Newcastle.
  6. Didn't manage to follow the game today. Did Forest ease off second half or did we play better than them?
  7. Anyone here in 2028? Yawn.
  8. I think your expectations are waaaaay too high given the depths to which we sank before Juric arrived.
  9. Juric has had to improve poor levels of fitness and that takes a bit of time. Too soon to get a result for this game but signs are good. On the subject of Armstrong we shouldn't be having a debate. He should have been told in the summer 'thanks for helping us get promoted but you're not good enough for the PL so we're selling you.' Ridiculous that he's still here.
  10. One of many reasons I hate where we are as a club is always thinking we'll lose, so just to cheer myself up a 1-0 win for Saints. Yup, that cheered me up. Now back to reality, 3-1 win to a bang average Man Utd.
  11. Manning is a proper shit football player.
  12. We still look sleepy at the back at times, Swansea just not good enough to take advantage...next PL game however...
  13. I appreciate it wasn't the point you were making but these posts really highlight how we've ended up with a squad of largely Championship players in the PL. Disastrous for this season but maybe signs of hope for next.
  14. Swansea to win 5-0 so I can collect a shirt from whichever Saints player drew the short straw. At least it might give Ross Stewart something to do. Although he'd probably injure himself.
  15. Seem to recall a few on here pre-match saying Aribo and Les together in the middle would be a disaster. It was - but the rest decided to be shit too.
  16. So many of the basics just weren't there. Suguawara jogging back instead of busting a gut when he's only been on the pitch five minutes. Terrible crosses, defenders not getting tight, poor control, it was pitiful. But the thing that made me decide they've all given up was the complete lack of communication on the pitch. I was pitch side and didn't hear a single word between them all game. Silence. Nobody wanted to say anything. A lack of ability is one thing but combine that with a lack of character and we will get plenty more 5-0 hammerings before the season ends. The club is a shit show. Juric has no chance of changing anything. He's arrived just in time to watch the patient expire. Sports Republic - I don't know which 'sport' it refers to but it ain't football.
  17. The only nails were the ones RM hammered firmly into our coffin with each passing game. We were definitely alive at the start of the season - so it goes way further than being pissed off at the rate of decline. Back on topic - can't see us doing anything other than loans in January. No point throwing good money into this mess.
  18. Going with my son who is excited about standing at a game for the first time. Oh to be excited about anything to do with Saints nowadays πŸ˜… 2-1 to Brentford seems likely.
  19. We were better against WH, they were fortunate to get the win; but what this really comes down to is your expectations. I think most fans are just hoping for more fight and a few wins. Even that will take time given the shit show RM ran. Maybe Juric won't improve us but that's the least of our problems. I've no idea which principle you're referring to as every situation is different.
  20. RM really has left us with plenty of scar tissue. In any normal season I'd be hoping for January transfers to improve us but there seems little point chucking good money at an impossible situation. A win would be nice though.
  21. Exactly this. Not saying it's the only problem RM left us with but that final pass/finish in the final third is often instinctive; and comes from being in that situation on a regular basis. It will probably improve in the coming weeks as we push more into the final third but way too late to make a meaningful difference.
  22. Travelling from Devon with my son for this one. Feeling a little more optimistic for at least a performance/fight, if not a result. Pleased to hear they trained yesterday, it's not like they've had to travel far today.
  23. West Ham should have too much for us but I'm hoping for a great atmosphere and a gutsy 1-1. Will Charlie Taylor re-emerge for this squad?
  24. A point. It's a point! Away. Worth feeling positive. Equals RMs entire away points tallyπŸ˜… I'm going to see the WH game with my son who's back from Uni for Christmas. Finally a game look forward to.

I think we've all aged this season πŸ˜…
