Exactly this. In legal disputes, charged/not charged previously in the same/similar situation is relevant. Any decent lawyer will jump on that. Problem is, like FIFA, the FA just make shit up as they go along. My best guess is they are probably regretting not charging Bielsa and so they're making up for that with Tonda. The FA really are a bunch of Muppets.

The press conference at the pub that night to announce we had signed him was just amazing. Never to be forgotten. Little old Saints had signed Kevin Keegan. I was 14. What a time to be a Saints fan. RIP Kevin. Thanks for the memories.

Tuchel kind of throwing the players under the bus. Suggesting we were already too passive and conceding chances after we scored, so he was forced to make defensive substitutions. Utter BS. They were bound to create more chances as had been forced to get a goal back. But that would leave holes and space to counter in to. Truth is, he blinked first and it cost us big time.
-
Not surprisingly he's coming out with utter BS to justify his awful substitutions. Why he just didn't let us carry on as we were is beyond me. Argentina looked a beaten side after we scored and bravery might have got us a second. Managers constantly talk about wanting their players to be brave when it counts, then Tuchel pulls the rug from under them in a desperate attempt to hold on. Somec are saying he should go. Might be a bit harsh with a home Euros to look forward to but fuck me he better show he's learned from this debacle if he stays.

Anderson and Rice just doesn't work and Tuchel is blind to it. Both way too defensive, one of them needs to push up when we have the ball. Get Rogers on.

Being a Scotland supporter I'm still clutching at all these straws. The first WCs I watched were 1974 & 1978 when England didn't qualify (I think that's right). My Dad was from Scotland so they became my team. He could have warned how fucking miserable it was going to be 😂

I'm up for us signing anyone who's surname is close to fuck you.
-
Awesome. Or as my son would say 'sick' Bree is such a solid professional, reminds me of Steven Davis. After all that shit over spy gate, I'm really looking forward to next season. Get behind the team and fuck everyone else.

Really pleased for him. We want him back full of confidence and ready to smash them in for us next season.

With Peretz signing is Ramsdale likely to be sold off? Have I missed anything about him?

Ross Stewart - Official: Signs for Swansea

If he does play at the WC and gets injured, unfortunately he'll be in no position to negotiate with anyone. Bit of a risk, but hopefully he'll be fine and I wish him all the best if he goes elsewhere. We just need to make sure we bring in decent replacement and move onwards. -
Not sure about what the kit should be but surely we need to add binoculars to the badge.
-
Awesome news. Hopefully this shows the players also think we were punished unreasonably and want to make a point. Supporting this club is like a box of chocolates...
-
It may - but we all need to get the tin hats on for next season. Circle the wagons and other clichés. Assuming he's not banned of course. It's the players I'm less sure about. I get that they're under contract but do they want to be here after everything that happened? As for Larin, Peretz and Bree. It'll be interesting to see this play out.

I miss the days you could just wander along to the Common to see the Saints players in pre-season training 😅
-
Technically I think it can be argued he is guilty of gross misconduct. That's an immediate dismissal. The fact this hasn't happened already suggests they want to keep him. Not sure whether to laugh or cry TBH. Part of me says let him stay because I think he could get us promoted, but the stench will follow him/the club like Pig Pen from Peanuts. And if he stays, how many players will want to leave? It's more fucked up than an episode from Breaking Bad.
-
Fuck me. Fourteen days reduced to a maximum of six hours. C**ts. At least make the bastards work until midnight.
-
Back in the noughties I lived very close to Fulham's training pitches. They were surrounded by fencing which you could easily see through, and on public pavements which were on all four sides. You could just stand and watch them train. This whole thing has a snowball effect that has got way out of proportion, like the punishment.
-
They had the opportunity to postpone the second leg and didn't react quickly enough. The EFL are a client of the body responsible for the decision. Surely a conflict of interest. They are ignoring their own rule of allowing 14 days for the appeals process and kangaroo courting it in to 24 hours. So yes, we've fucked up, but they are a truly shit organisation.
-
The first comment I heard from the media was that he was on a grassy knoll. I thought they'd found out who shot JFK. Turns out it was an even bigger conspiracy than that one.
-
Let's say we're kicked out. We appeal. Everything is delayed. Whilst this is on-going, we lose Ross and Larin to the world cup, our two key forwards. We sue FIFA and delay the world cup. So many wormholes in this 😅
-
Exactly. The Swindon case means the EFL can say rejecting us is not unique, even if the circumstances are very different. Have I just agreed with you MLG 🤣
-
For sure, hence my finger in the air comment. Most footballing bodies are generally incompetent and the fact they instigated a rule without defining a list of punishments for breaking that rule is unprofessional. They've left themselves open I think to potential lawsuits no matter what is recommended/decided.
-
Is there a precedent for a club being ejected from a competition for something they did off the field? Or is this finger in the air stuff ? Also, the independent panel I understand is run by Sports Resolution, who list the EFL as a client. So, truly independent? There's a slight conflict on interest there. Also, why didn't the EFL postpone the second leg, given the story was already out there. Surely that would have given them more options. Just my own personal observations. Who knows if we'll ever get the whole truth, but what I do know is that I don't want Boro anywhere near the final given their petty vindictiveness.

Unless the ref heard it, can't see anything being done about it?
