The EFL do not want this to drag on. Equally they will not want to be the ones to be seen dealing with this given legal arguments. They haven’t the time or resources.

I heard from a Boro supporting mate that has brother popped into our club shop about ten days ago and bought a tracksuit before he went back up north. Make of that what you will. But it’s just as plausible and some of the stuff that is coming out from up there.

You’re not familiar with sarcasm are you? Or humour? Or dare I say it, common sense and basic logic? No one has said we’re definitely not guilty. The club is merely being professional - that’s good in itself. It doesn’t mitigate if we originally did it but it shows a maturity compared to that of Boro/North East media, managers, fans etc - a lot of which have been adding layers to this and then changing it when a day later it doesn’t suit the narrative.

Would you not agree that it’s easier just to say nothing. The narrative has already been done. 🤦🏻‍♂️

And maybe they are content with the narrative, maybe they’re content that there is sufficient evidence against them and the best thing to do now for the club AND THE TEAM is not to rock the boat further. Maybe the best way forward is to take the punishment and shut up, the less you say the less engagement with the media. Hardly rocket science. Honestly find it baffling how you don’t see that, and would rather have a social media/tabloid rampage on the eve of the biggest game of the season. The only people talking about it today are Boro fans. National media has moved on. You don’t add fuel to a fire that is slowly going out.

What do you want them to do? There’s a game tomorrow; and you want to engage with tabloid gossip which could hinder rather than help. I would say today the media frenzy has changed direction, why add fuel to the fire? I’s rather the club shut up than engage in slanging matches through the media.

Boro will be even more insufferable now in wanting us out and for them to get let through to the final.
