  1. The funny thing is it doesn’t matter what player you pick for each position, they’re all equally as poor. The only three that I would say make every single fans starting XI is Jander, Scienza and Armstrong. Look at the goalkeepers, that could go either side, ironically, normally where the oppositions shots go. Defensively, we have five CBs, we have used all of them to varying degrees of success and failure so far this season and in so many combinations it was stun even the brainiest statisticians. Central midfield is slim pickings as a whole. And up top, or only striker that scores is Adam Armstrong, Leo Scienza has been a great addition, but I wouldn’t say Fellows has done anything of note, Fraser has gone off the boil, Robinson still a youngster etc.
  2. I did have a go (on the previous page), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was my guess. Didn’t realise Oriol Romeu wore 14 when he first joined 😂
  3. I’ll give it to you, albeit two months later 👏🏻😂 Next…..? 😃
  4. Maybe he’s agreed to play with a back five 👀🤣
  5. Makes you wonder what the “senior players” will make of the appointment if Gary O’Neill became the new manager. 😂
  6. Wishing for: McCarthy; Jelert, Wood, Quarshie, Wellington; Downes, Jander, Azaz; Fellows, Armstrong, Scienza Expecting: Bazunu; Fellows, THB, Stephens, Wood, Manning; Downes, Jander, Robinson, Armstrong, Downs I just see the line up tombola being rolled out for this one.
  7. Adding Gary O’Neill to the list. (Also a note: shortening of odds does not mean the bookies know something fans don’t. How utterly deluded are some people? 😂)
  8. If Gary O’Neill is appointed, which I don’t think he will be, the chanting for Sport Republic out will be monumental after a couple of games. I don’t see him being the one to get a tune out of these players; and Sport Republic will want to do everything to deflect away from them.
  9. Imagine the statement from the club if we hired a manager with pedigree and authority and stature. Nice right? Aaaaand back to reality. Tonda Eckhart three year deal incoming.
  10. I thought he was unfortunate at Man United to lose his job, they played brilliant counter attacking football
  11. I think it’ll be Eckhart even if we don’t win on Saturday. A real yes-man that SR dream of. But the continued issue of playing five at the back and shit substitutions makes me extremely uncomfortable.
  12. This is the issue I said a week ago. The fanbase calls for Will Still to go (rightly or wrongly), who comes in? Realistically? It won’t be Ange, or Martin, or Ralph, or Gerrard, or Lampard, or Rodgers, or Carrick, or Southgate, or Rosenior. Then you keep looking at other sites and other names and the options look pretty appalling. I can see Tonda Eckhart being made permanent, being very underwhelming but the cheap Sports Republic option.
  13. Steven Davis lives nearby still. Just saying 👀
  14. Give him the armband immediately
  15. He said this last night in the post match interview
  16. Imagine the reaction if Tonda Eckhart gets the permanent job. How will you react?
  17. The scenes on the bench and the players was a little cringy. More was Tonda’s fist pumping to the crowd. Such a fluky, lucky win. A better team would’ve cut through us like a knife through butter.
  18. Nope, if it’s a choice of those two, we just accept that we go for the third option, concede and go again from the halfway line. 😂
  19. Pretty level headed post all round. Howpfully that puts to bed the bullshit of “SR are telling them how to play”. And is for the Manning comment; it’s remarkably similar to the muppets that wanted Will Still out and then they say something along the lines of “I reckon we should go for Jurgen Klopp”. 😂
  20. I just want a manager that plays four at the back. So it’s a no from me
  21. Jack Stephens on media duty tonight. Summary: - Excited that Romeu is coming back, he’s been at the club since Monday - There was never any problem between him and Will Still - Maybe they rode their luck tonight - They know they should be doing better
  22. Gonna bump this because it’s become more relevent now, again!
  23. I mean, Sport Republic are the owners. Rasmus is part of SR. The entire SR hierarchy attended the game tonight but it does not mean he picked the team for fuck sake.
  24. Oh how wrong can you be… 😢
  25. Probably getting ready to tie Tonda down to a five year deal.
