So many variables in this: - How much can we afford to pay? - How much are we willing to offer? - Are we smart enough to realise that we can’t put all our bets on him being fit for only 40% of games? - Would he accept a lesser role and lesser wage? - Would he want to be closer to home? - Will he dislocate his finger when signing the contract?

I thought Middlesbrough were terrible when we played at St Mary’s. We just didn’t score enough, and if I recall we should’ve been 3-0 up at half time.

I think we’ll draw our next two league games with Wrexham and Derby, and then go onto win the remaining games of the season (including Ipswich at home). We’ll finish three or four points shy of second.
