I think when Will Still take about “scar tissue” it’s to protect the players in public. Behind the scenes he strikes me as the kind of person that’ll be telling them to grow up and be professional. Half the team has changed too, so sod the scar tissue theory. If they aren’t big enough to get over that and draw a one under last season then they shouldn’t be playing.

As much as I would like to disagree this is spot on. We all raised eyebrows when the team was announced, but ultimately we dominated and created too many chances to not score, and yet somehow we still did. I’d be more concerned if we weren’t creating chances, we clearly are, just need a couple to go in and the floodgates will open.

The line up itself was frustrating to see, five at the back against a poor Championship side. That was Will Still’s mistake. All that said, we totally outperformed Swansea yesterday and were ultimately let down by the players finishing, not the formation. That isn’t on him. We did more than enough to win but simply weren’t clinical enough.

No. Seems a bit of an unnecessary conspiracy theory. With that logic do you think SR’s logic is to spunk a lot of money on new players and then not play them?

Will Still needs to take inspiration from Russell Martin, be brave and set up with four at the back and an additional player up top for more than five minutes at the end of a game.

I mean it is a very Will Still-esque team in the sense of he has always set up to not concede, but that doesn’t say much for the attacking threat if you only score twelve goals all season. If he uses phrases like “scar tissue” or refers to last season he can bugger off.

Hard to decide whether this is on the players inability to finish or Will Still.

Let’s be realistic the speed the ball came back at Archer there off the post and the angle he was it - it was always going to be harder to score ffs. Some people on here love making a drama out of it. We need to take Edward’s off, he’s been outmuscled so many times, get an attacking player on. Swansea are there for the taking.
