LOL My snow fix is scraping snow and ice off the car (YET AGAIN) and then risk life and limb getting from our cul de sac down a skid pan country lane to reach the salted main road and then collect Ian for Manchester Airport Part 2 :cool:. Downtown Leigh has just been dumped on by another couple of inches of snow ... the previous lot was still here. Weather getting on my tits a bit now, seeing as my son's flight from Southampton to Manchester tonight has now been cancelled and he's been rescheduled for 1100 tomorrow, but the weather will probably stuff that little plan up as well :mad:

After the 4th day of having to scrape snow and ice off the car windscreen and windows the novelty is wearing off :cool: But sat in doors in the warmth with a bottle of Old Speckled Hen, looking out into the garden is nice Our Cul de Sac is still looking very Christmassy although the snowman collapsed overnight and is now just pile a messy of snow with twigs hanging out of it I see rain is forecast in Dubai for 25th ... you may have to cancel the bar b que Not looking forward to the slushy meelting days coming up, shame it probably won't last till Xmas Day.

Not in the last minute when we really needed a delivery into the box he tamely placed a free kick into touch. Lost us possession and momentum Thought for a minute he was going to get onto the corner ala Niemi right at the end ... that would really would have been a classic finish to a game and sent us wild. He made a superb save early on in the 2nd half.

It was certainly a bit cooler than Dubai that's for sure We didn't ever get a hold of midfield or create any passes down the channels for Connolly to run onto and we hardly ever got wide to pump in balls from the byline. Papa had his hands full acting as an extra full back most of the time. You certainly couldn't fault the effort put in and Perry and especiallt Jaidhi (MOM). Great atmosphere for most of the match from both sets of supporters and the tempo of the game and noise made it seem like a cup tie, helped keep me warm!! How we didn't score in the last 10 mins is beyond me ... 1-1 would have given me 10 points on the prediction league as well;) Certainly nothing to be ashamed of. we'll give 'em a better game at Wembley
