Thomas did a good job at Stockport earlier in the season, and even made some great overlaps but having said that Stockport were dire and of little threat going wide. Also with Thommo in the full back position against a nippy winger you'd get the feeling that a penalty is in the post :cool:

They were still in the league at the time, Div 4 in old money. 66/67 season our first in top flight footie, 2-2 at theirs, 3-0 at ours. Over 24000 for the replay which was higher than many of our league games .... back in the days when the FA Cup was special.
