I went with a 1000D for motorsport photography, went to one meeting with it so far with the kit 18-55mm lens and love it! Need to get a bigger 200 or 300mm one for better trackside shots but its just a case of playing with the settings and seeing what does what.

Whats the betting that Harry has to ''retire from football'' in the next month or so, on ''doctors orders'', then takes a break of approx 5-7 years (at Her Maj's Pleasure), before coming back to lead England in the World Cup? I'm sure his press chums would be happy to hide the time he's doing inside as being too unwell to manage a football club. After all, he did take a serious yet funny turn all of a sudden.....

The peasants are revolting (against eachother). ''dashizzle Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 09:31 AM Let's not start blaming the club, the economy or anything else - plain and simple this is a complete embarrassment. The facts are that Pompey only have 10,000 or so diehard fans - they were the ones that were there when we beat Barnsley 3-0 on the final day to stay up. Unfortunately the Redknapp era bred a generation of delusional fans who believe we are a club that should be in the top half of the PL - those of us over 25 know that watching Pompey in the top flight was a treat and something I 4-1 never thought I would see while I was growing up. Anyone who had a day out at Wembley and doesn't want a ticket for this game doesn't deserve to be described as a supporter.''

Watch the Spurs fans loot the Sports Direct Arena when they visit.

I'll give that a go and see. This laptop picks up 4-5 other networks on a regular basis and I know at least one is also a Belkin router so that sounds plausable.

From initial reports up here, the ejector mechanism fired and the pilot went up, but the parachute failed to open. http://www.thisislincolnshire.co.uk/Red-Arrows-pilot-injured-incident-RAF-Scampton/story-13788887-detail/story.html

A keeper. Super Kelv won't be around forever and Bart isn't up the level IMO.

Drivers are up to date, firmware on the router is up to date too. I'm using Windows to do it. It seems intermittant and a lot of Googling suggested it was either something malicious, or something to do with the network card. The power plan is a slightly tweaked version of HP's own, but read it can interfere with the network card at certain times, so I've disabled the power saving feature that turns the card off, just in case it was trying to do so whilst browsing. Its been running without much issue for 3-4hrs now, so I'll post again if/when it plays up.

Moral of the story? Don't pretend to be a mechanic. If you're gonna flog it, get a proper pre-MOT inspection done. Oh and don't sell it without the V5.

Vlad involved in more murky ownership issues/non-issues. http://english.blic.rs/Economy/8139/Russian-businessmen-to-buy-JAT ''Russian businessmen to buy JAT Russian businessmen and bankers, owners of part of ‘Air Baltic’ shares are interested in strategic partnership with the national carrier ‘JAT Airways’. This is actually an investment group registered at the Bahamas the owners of which want to transfer their money from ‘Air Baltic’ into the ‘JAT’. As we learn they want to leave the company from Estonia because of interfering of the state in the company’s work by appointment of political staff to executive posts. At extended tender for search of strategic partner for the ‘JAT Airways’ only ‘Baltic Aviation Systems’ (BAS), the minor co-owner of the ‘Air Baltic’ purchased the tender documentation. As said by representatives of the Serbian Ministry for Infrastructure, further negotiations shall be carried out with the BAS. The major owner of ‘Air Baltic’ is the state with 52.6 percent stake while the minor owner the BAS owns 47.2 percent of shares. Half of the shares in the BAS belongs to Bertolt Flick (German national), former director of the ‘Air Baltic’ who was a hundred percent owner earlier. Since he fell into financial difficulties he sold one half and now owns fifty percent only. The other half belongs to the ‘Taurus Asset Management’. It is not clear even to the authorities in Estonia who behind that fund is. They recently requested detailed explanation about the ownership. Media in Estonia mention names of two Russian businessmen Andrei Rudesko and Stanislav Kovtun. Estonian officials do not believe that these are the real and only owners. The third Russian name being related to the ‘Air Baltic’ is Vladimir Antonov a millionaire from London. His company announced several months ago to have purchased 11-12 percent of shares in the ‘Air Baltic’. However, it was not specified whether the purchased shares belonged to the state stake or to that of the BUS.''

It just did another 5-10min bout of going slow and disconnecting from the router, heres the speed test the Laptop got when it came back on: Whilst a few minutes beforehand the iPhone got this: To get it to come back on, this window popped up after I asked it to troubleshoot the issue. Stable for now but it'll go again.

If you haven't got the V5C at the time of sale, you shouldn't have sold it as you can't prove you were the registered keeper at the time of sale.

I think I spoke too soon.... So to recap, we've now got a Belkin F6D4230uk4 N150 wireless router conencted to a Virgin Media cable internet modem, and the following connected: HP Laptop Windows 7 (wireless connection) HP Laptop Windows 7 (wireless connection) Dell Laptop Windows 7 (wireless connection) Acer Desktop Windows Vista (wired connection) Xbox 360 (wired connection) Wii (wireless connection) iPhone 4 (wireless connection) iPhone 4 (wireless connection) Connection is fine and stable for all devices apart from mine, which is one of the HP Laptops (a G61-410SA to be precise). Sometimes it can connect fine and surf the web with no issues at all, then out of the blue it'll lose connection with the router, or run very slowly and timeout on pages. I can disconnect from the router and reconnect and it'll go back to normal for a couple of hours, or in worse cases I have to press the WiFi button on the laptop to turn off the network card. If I allow Windows to troubleshoot the lack of connectivity, 50% of the time it'll disable the network adaptor and re-enable it, solving the issue until next time, or it'll say it can't help, so I should reboot the router. No other device connected to the router loses connection, Malwarebytes and AVG Free didn't find anything malicious on the laptop, the network is secure so I don't think anyone is piggybacking off us. Did two speed tests via the website and the iPhone app during one of the periods it was running slow, iPhone said 15meg and the laptop said 0.4meg. Clearly theres something up and I'm suspecting a setting on either the laptop or the router. This laptop never had an issue with the Zyxel router before. Googling it suggested trying to change the TCP/IPv4 DNS setting from Automatic to the following: That seemed to work for a few days but the problem is back.

I think we're going up.

Its been slowly getting worse with the odd gaming session interrupted with ''Disk Unreadable'' meaning you have to restart the console, but the last 6 months has really gotten too much. Basically you're on the Dashboard and put a disc in the drive, it spins up and says ''Reading'', then says ''Open Tray''. It seems to happen to certain games of mine. I thought it might be recent games as Forza 4, COD:MW2, Black Ops all are stuck with Open Tray errors, yet Fifa 11 and LA Noire are fine. COD:MW is also fine (I forgot how much fun it was!), and I borrowed a mates copy of MW2 to confirm it was the console and not my disc. With Forza 4, I managed to get the first championship done before it booted me, and I've only been able to get into the game once since then (to install CD2's data to the HDD). I've read a lot of forums and seen the Youtube clips showing various methods to deal with the error and here's what I've figured out: - hitting the top of the console whilst it says ''Reading''......no difference - tilting the console whilst it says ''Reading''.....no difference - booting without the HDD in....no difference - clearing the cache....worked for about a week but reverted back to the error, now makes no difference when cleared - used a DVD cleaning disc on the laser....360 wouldn't even read it (Open Tray Error). The only thing I've seen suggested is to open the console and move the laser spindle to the centre of the disc for the starting position, however I shone a torch into the drive whilst the power was off, and the spindle was already in the centre. Its an early Jasper 360 I believe, was an Arcade as it was a replacement for my very first Premium. Its got the BENQ/Phillips DVD drive too. Its out of warranty but I'd rather not crack it open if possible. Any suggestions that I haven't tried yet? I'm already looking for a cheapy cheap 360 console at one of those pawn shops and may take mine in with a working game, say ''it works'' and let them test it with the working game, then go to a different branch to buy a replacement.

Is it possible to make the Maps app save a version of the map on the device so it can be used anytime with GPS, rather than having to download it every time the app is used? Its fine if I'm in WiFi range but I don't use mobile data so I need the map pre-loaded. The phone is not jailbroken. Or if thats not possible, is there another app that can do it (for free)?
