  1. gaz is happy. roll on next week!
  2. Nigel Quashie.
  3. They say onions are the only vegetables that can make you cry. Trust me, getting smacked round the head with a turnip will make your eyes water too.
  4. I'm in this position now, Mum and Dad got a red Wii with Donkey Kong preinstalled, New Super Mario Bros, and an extra controller that came with Wii Party bundled in. I'm looking for games we can dip in and out of, and preferably ones that have proper 1:1 motion control rather than predefined ''waggle left and the guy walks left a certain distance'' etc. Probs not the ultimate realism games, I have a 360 for that (and possibly access to PS3 for GT5 next week), nor too many party games though. Mario Kart is on the way, and I'll check out all the games listed so far but any more suggestions very welcome.
  5. Quite possibly, I remember it being on Saturday mornings.
  6. Does anyone have a list of footballing documentaries? Even better, links to where I could watch them (or get a torrent)? I remember one during the time of Peter Reid at Sunderland and a great one about Bobby Robson at Newcastle. And the Panorama footballing corruption story of course. I'm sure the Saints were part of one too, the youth team in 2002/3?
  7. He went on record to say they needed to borrow again to finish the season didn't he? Who on earth would loan them money with little hope of being repaid (as all future income is going towards the CVA)? This season really is Sh!t or bust for them.
  8. Susie Stoddart, races this:
  9. They were rested, theres a difference. I'd do the same in his position, few players can play week in week out at 100% form.
  10. My 360 is also starting to do this, its on the odd occasion and only with MW2 though. Opening the disc tray and closing it again lets it play, but the edges of that game disc is slighty rough, almost like they are melted? Any connection?
  11. Ian Holloway is my fave manager. He's absolutely right, or else what is the point in having the players at the club? Are the PL saying they want the starting XI plus subs, and nobody else plays?
  12. Any ideas for tactics? I tend to pick a formation, set the team instructions and then buy/sell players to fit in.
  13. Toasted granary bread, with brown sauce and Frosties. No idea why, I was 7 or 8.

  15. I think the people who brought it up (the papers) are the ones who are more bothered by it. Its in their interest to keep people talking about such a non-issue. Anyway, I'm not bothered. Footy League Show to watch the goals, League 1 Minus 10 for the report.
  16. Maybe there's an Mi5 agent called Wotton, they wanted to sign him and got ours by mistake.
  17. I think the only people that still care about this are the Echo, and anyone they can get onto their side. Someone in the comments of the Guardian article called it right IMO, iden13:
  18. Salisbury have taken pity on me, at the end of season 1 though.
  19. I started without a club, but nobody will take me on (even BlSq N/S). Realistic I guess lol.
  20. 2-0 in the final minutes is hardly a beating. Nice effort though.
  21. 2-0 in the final minutes is hardly a beating. Nice effort though.
  22. I know some fans won't agree but I don't care much for the performance, as long as we're on the right end of the result.
  23. Stripes next season, diagonal for the away shirt?
  24. Its just frustrating that I've never come across anything like that in any of the lessons I've had, and failed on a natural reaction. Such is life though, thanks for the encouragement Are there any other Saints fans learning? I'm not from the area so can't suggest local instructors but I'm sure you guys can. The best tip I got was to go for an independant, not BSM/AA etc. I tried BSM for 3 lessons and felt like I wasn't getting anywhere, and that I was just another job to them rather than their project. One lesson with a local independant instructor up here and I'd learnt more than the other three combined.
  25. A thread for all the learners/newly passed drivers to share thoughts and experiences of the process of getting on the road and mobile. I failed my test this afternoon. There was a 90ish degree left hand corner with a car and a big Luton style Transit van parked on my side of the road on the corner, with a gap inbetween. I had time and room to get past the first car, but as I was along side it I saw traffic coming towards me, I pulled into the gap between the car and van. I couldnt see the traffic approaching sooner because of the van and gardens across blocking the view, and the examiner failed me on Judgement, Meeting as he said I should have waited before I got to the first car. More than a bit peed off, because if that Transit driver hadn't parked there, I would have passed. How was I supposed to wait earlier if I couldn't see what I was meant to wait for? Anyway, retest booked for the 8th of December. The new Independant Driving part was fine, he said ''take the 2nd exit at the next roundabout, then follow the signs for [Location]. That was fine, no problem whatsoever. Learners shouldn't worry about that IMO.
