  1. AA is turning out ot be a nice little chairman isn't he? In the best Nelson Muntz voice....HA-HA.
  2. Gerrard Houllier.
  3. Foreign Manager - Gerrard Houllier Wow Factor Manager - Martin O'Neill Up & Coming English Manager - Nigel Adkins
  4. Erm...why? We haven't robbed local businesses or charities of money? Nor ripped off fellow league clubs by levering them out of deals to sign players we couldn't afford?
  5. Brilliant blog, keep it up. Love the bits about the Chuckle Brothers.
  6. O'Neill.
  7. Meh. New manager will hopefully kickstart the season, but I don't think we would have lost the last 2 games if AP hadn't been sacked.
  8. Was it the mask and suit he wore?
  9. He'll fit in with the locals. ''Can't afford a season ticket? Simply bring a necklace, bracelet, or dear old Granny's Urn to Fartton Park, and we'll give you a seat number!''
  10. Plenty of banter and humour around, just because you don't get it, doesn't mean its not there.
  11. Wolverhampton Wanderers Hoddle was linked with a return to Southampton in early 2004, but opposition from supporters meant chairman Rupert Lowe pursued alternative targets.[23] Instead he returned to management in December 2004 with Wolverhampton Wanderers, again succeeding Dave Jones. Wolves lost only one of remaining 25 games but failed to reach the play-offs because 15 of those games had been draws. Wolves were expected to finish in the top 6 under Hoddle in the 2005–2006 season but again draws cost them with Wolves drawing 19 of their 46 league games. They were also one of the lowest goalscoring teams in the division scoring just 50 goals in the league all season. Wolves finished 7th, 8 points off the playoffs. Wolves fans turned against Hoddle and there were chants against him during the last home game of the season against Watford. [24] The board kept faith with Hoddle, but he stepped down on 1 July 2006, stating differing expectations between himself and the club as the reason for his departure.[25][26] In his time with Wolverhampton Wanderers, the club drew 34 league games in his 76 games in charge, spanning over two seasons. I.E. a crap manager, an opinion based on managerial merit. You're as good as your last managers job, and Glenn is tosh.
  12. Pompy can sign anyone they like, how many they like..... ....but until the FL ratifies them, they aren't allowed to set foot on a pitch. And who says they will?
  13. If he didn't want AP around just as he was getting going, then I can't see NC wanting to tread water with Wilkins for a fortnight.
  14. I think if we bring someone in who is currently at another club, it won't be Prem level. It'll be mid-lower Championship. However, I still want Martin O'Neill. I'm hoping it'll be a somebody, not a relative unknown, but as long as he can get the job done, then its back to the 5 year plan.
  15. I think after tonights show, we'll be seeing an appointment in the next 48hrs.
  16. If this is Saints related, I'll eat your hat (again).
  17. If this is Saints related, I'll eat your hat.
  18. AA is doing the paperwork and hopes to get it in by Friday. Lols.
  19. Seeing as the transfer window closes tomorrow night, will be see NC making a move today/tomorrow? Or play the longer game of getting the best possible person for the job? I think the shortlist has been drawn up for some time, NC won't want to hang around with bringing in his target.
  20. Zola doesn't have experience of this level of football.
  21. Hoddle is a sh1te manager. Never been successful anywhere. He got lucky here with Deano being a mountain of a CB that held the back line.
  22. Something must have happened over the weekend. I'm thinking because of the recent backroom changes, AP wasn't happy and met with NC to air his displeasure and says something along the lines of ''I'm not going to stand for this, any more and I'll walk'' and NC calls his bluff. At least its not a Lowe-era ''Mutual consent'' deal.

    New Manager

Why not? We've got the money to get him, its a case of if he'd be prepared to bring a club up again (like Leicester).
  24. Absolutely gutted to see him go, he was the man for the plan for me. I expect him to be back in management at Prem or Champ level sometime this season, he's that good.
  25. Could the FL be letting Pompy make all these approaches and contract offers to players.....just to then say later ''Erm, hang on, you can't register these players with us''? I hope so.
