At the one I went to at the end of last year, there were three forum members at the meal who came on here after and said they went. There may have been others who just kept quiet. I can confirm based on conversations with them at the event and on here afterwards that the two people other than me were real people and not just people saying they went. Likewise obviously they'd confirm I am real and went

The thing is, this 'should' be obvious. I don't understand how some people on here seem to be able to just write off the past or discredit the future of the club and take sides with either one or the other? They are both equally as important as each other and when you join them up you get the present which see us in the best position we’ve been in for years, certainly not a position where people should be complaining about the pathetic rubbish that we’re seeing at the moment! It's sad that both sides seem to have some issues with each other, but even sadder that we're all getting dragged into it and taking sides.

This sounds reasonable enough to me! As per all the other Beattie threads recently, there are people who will say he's past it now, or that we should not look back. However if he's up for it and his wage demands are ok, then why not.

Ah yes, but some people don't want to let that humongous fact get the way of some more Cortese bashing. Just like they choose to ignore the fact that: He's pressing on with a 5 year business plan he and Markus drew up, to take us back to the top league in English football He's set out plans and work has started on a major new training facility for the youth teams, He has been involved in the signing of several players (many of which have directly stated one of the reasons they came to Southampton was after the chairman set out his vision) He's held sessions with fans to listen to their opinions and in some cases acted on them (Saints Ale, new range of merchandise) He’s refused to be pushed about in the transfer market and when he has had to let players go he’s got a great deal for the club Yeah maybe docker-p is right, what value has he brought to the club at all so far other than employ NA? (And even then most slated him at the time for getting rid of pards).

This has to be a nomination for the award for the most tenuous 'Saints related' thread on the main forum for ages, good work.

I can't believe anyone who knows just a little about our club and recent goings on could be so stupidly short sighted to actually think this to be the case, so can only assume this is just a joke right?
