You only have to read this to realise the guy is clueless, what on earth makes him think Millwall will be in the Premiership next season!!! In all seriousness, at least he took the time to provide a pretty detailed response.
-
Certainly wasn't the case on the one I went too. If it is now, the original poster could always just respond and say that.

You’re right, it is a complicated debate which in itself probably could have its own thread. I can’t answer the question re violent crime and I’m sure that a search could rake up stats that say crime is getting more common, whereas I guess there’ll also be some stats elsewhere saying (as you say) that it’s just more often reported. But I think pretty much everyone of us can see that the number of people that have less respect for others these days is on the up.

I’ve had unhealthy spells in my life. I’ve also had healthier spells. During the healthier times I feel healthier, I feel better about myself generally (more confident), I sleep better, I feel more awake during the day. Also, one day I might meet a girl again, and if that ever happens I will be in good enough shape to do her hard (that said it’ll probably not last long anyway, nonetheless, the second time I will be able to go hard and long!)

Whilst I don't disagree that this country is too soft, that's not really the main problem in my opinion. The main problem is that for some reason people feel the need to cause trouble in the first place! I have never in my life felt the need to actively go and look for trouble, mug someone or whatever. This is nothing to do with a fear of punishment. I just don't have any urges/motivation (whatever you want to call it), to do that sort of thing. I can't even begin to understand what motivates these kind of people, or why it's becoming more commonplace? I don't really get where this total lack of respect comes from these days?

As per many on this forum no doubt! -
Hypo, do they match with the stuff that's been posted on this thread that came from twitter?

I agree the guy needs to get out more, but accepting he's got a lot of spare time, he's clearly not stupid, and did you watch them through yourself and listen to what he had to say? Out of interest were you a youngster when the original 3 were made, or are you a bit younger and the original 3 were before your time so to speak? I'm no expert and I was raised on the older 3, so personally I love those films. But even taking off my rose tinted specs I do find the newer 3 pretty poor when it comes to the plots, although I can see how kids would be more impressed by the newer special effects.

Do you have links? I've had a look on youtube, thought I found the second film, but the link takes me to a beatles album?!?!?

Cheers, I'll have a look for those reviews as well.

That thought had already crossed my mind!

I was thinking of starting this thread last week (after eating a big bowl of sugar puffs). It weirdly looks like 1976_Child has been having similar thoughts based on his fart thread. I’ve got: Sugar Puffs Asparagus Beatroot (for changing its colour rather than smell) Any others?

Best foods to make one's farts as smelly as possible.

Don't lie, you don't have any chums!

Having attended one of these myself and listened to Nicola talk, I’d be very surprised if he’s talked about actual figures and specific player salaries. During the one I went too he was extremely professional and careful with exactly what he did say.

I stupidly though of it as non Saints in my thread! You win.

Was going to say exactly the same thing. Also we shouldn’t have to put up with a society were people feel the need to hide away in case of trouble. The focus should be on (1) correct punishment for those who cause it (2) people being raised in the correct manner so that they don’t feel the need to cause trouble in the first place. (Personally I think society is too far gone for old fashion values, beliefs & respect to be upheld these days, but I guess that a whole other thread!)
