If the worst was to happen and we finish 3rd, I would be happy if we played Cardiff or Boro, just not Brighton please not those cheats. Brum and Blackpool have 4th and 5th sewn up.

Saints / Reading / West Ham run in: Games to go . . .
bender replied to .comsaint's topic in The Saints
What people forget is that on Monday we are playing at a team who are drained of confidence and have nothing to play for. We could also end up having more fans than they do. Wham are playing a team who are on good form. Lets see but in only 45 hours time things could suddenly look a lot better. -
"Negativity around here has been very much in the forefront recently, which has been strange for me because we have lost one in 12" Yeah OK mate you only need draws if your gunning for the Prem.

Fri: Reading and Wham both win. Sat: Saints win. Mon: Wham draw and Saints win at Palace (I know ST holder Palace fans who arent bothering even going). Tue: Reading lose at Brighton (given my location I might get a ticket) Saints 84 pts Reading 79 pts Wham 76 pts. Then we beat Reading the following Fri and Wham beat Brighton. Wham are back in top 2 and we are more or less champions with 3 to go. Saints 87pts Wham 79 pts Reading 79 pts

We should easily beat Pompey anyway, even if its Sharp and Guly up front. Its a full house FFS
-
So is the King Alfred gonna be open? Why are we all so sure Barney is playing.
-
We are Southampton, the pride of the south, we hate all the b*stards that come from Ports-mouth, we only drink whiskey, we only drink rum, (forgot the last bit)
-
This. On the telly, it just sounded like the Pompey fans were singing play up pompey but very loudly.
-
The sound of "Who the f**k is laughing now" will ring out so loud on Saturday. The only thing is, there are sections of our fans who wont sing it due to the F word. But really, we want the whole stadium singing this right at them with a passion.

TBH if we somehow dont go up I'll get over it. Didnt think we'd go up at the beginning of the season and we'll have another go next season. However, my worse nightmare would be losing to Brighton in the play off semi's after finishing 15 points above them or something.

I'll take my smartphone and stream the whole game to justin.tv for you.
-
For a second there I thought you were pop to the Albert Hall to applaud the Saints players who for some reason might be there also.
-
I bet Reading fans said that at Peterborough the other week.
-
"redneb" actually. Clearly Brighton wont want to do us any favours - they actually have something to play for.
-
Anyone else get the feeling that we'll secure promotion when were not even playing. Before the weekend I thought Brighton would when theyre at home to Reading a week tomorrow. Now I think it will still be Brighton doing the honours but away to Wham the day after we play Reading.
-
FFS worry about that during May, June and July. Seriously, now that the dissapointment has died down, I'm excited at the prospect of Wham not winning at Barnsley and us going into the Pompey game knowing a win will all but secure it.
-
We are six point clear of Wham with a better goal difference and look at the fixtures we both have. (still a bit worried about RL though)
-
This is just one of those games. Nothing has gone for us. We were due some bad luck after Leeds and Millwall away.
-
f sake. Well onside.
-
I'm so nervous even though were far better than them so far.
-
No that was the ball.
-
I disagree. The only reason top teams dont beat bottom teams is complacency. However, it's a derby so we will be up for it and our quality will shine through. There's no way Pompey will be able to hold us for 90 minutes. My only downer is that if we go 3 up or something we wont go on from that and thump them 5 or 6 nil. We will conserve energy for our game 2 days later.

Picture this. Saints already champions and Coventry need a draw to stay up at Pompeys expense. KD steps up and tonks it into row FF of the Chapel.
