thanks for all the suggestions so far. We do need to be careful with images though (unless they are your own), I dont fancy a licence issue. Would be nice to have a gallery and am waiting on a reply from someone else at the club on what we can use. To answer the question about what happens if we dont get the target, the Ops guy said he thinks it very probable that the club in one form or another will help. As for what happens to it after that, I thought the plan was to donate it to the saints foundation for auction? -

can we sticky this for a while please mods? -
if you have read the current thread on Markus Liebherr Tributes you will know that I have been trying to get the giant flag sorted for the last game of the season v Walsall. Unfortunately this will not be possible now due to time constraints but I am pleased to say that I have had positive feedback from the club and we now have permission to go ahead for the 1st home game of next season providing certain safety measures are met. I am currently in the process of setting up a Markus Liebherr tribute website where people will be able to use the Paypal Donate button I have set up to donate towards the cost of the flag. (Currently quoted £2700 for a 15m x 10m, the same size as the one Sheff Wed and Sunderland have used) What I would like from you guys is your thoughts on what you want to see on the tribute website, for example, some text that you may have come across about him and / or a picture. I intend also to have a "contributors" link on there where I will list all the names of those that have donated (with their permission of course). Any help on this would be greatfully received. **update** Site is taking shape but am still struggling for content (images aside) so if anyone has anything they would like to add to a "Fans tribute" page, please PM me Site is now live (will add more content if / when I get it!) http://www.onemarkusliebherr.co.uk Thanks Mike

A father walks into a restaurant with his young son. He gives the young boy 3 pennies to play with to keep him occupied. Suddenly, the boy starts choking, going blue in the face. The father realizes the boy has swallowed the pennies and starts slapping him on the back... The boy coughs up 2 of the pennies, but keeps choking. Looking at his son, the father is panicking, shouting for help. A well dressed, attractive and serious looking woman,in a blue business suit is sitting at a coffee bar reading a newspaper and sipping a cup of coffee. At the sound of the commotion, she looks up, puts her coffee cup down, neatly folds the newspaper, places it on the counter, gets up from her seat and makes her way, unhurried, across the restaurant. Reaching the boy, the woman carefully drops his pants; takes hold of the boy's testicles and starts to squeeze and twist, gently at first and then ever so firmly........ After a few seconds the boy convulses violently and coughs up the last penny, which the woman deftly catches in her free hand. Releasing the boy's testicles, the woman hands the penny to the father and walks back to her seat at the coffee bar without saying a word. As soon as he is sure that his son has suffered no ill effects, the father rushes over to the woman and starts thanking her, saying he has never seen anybody do anything like that before, it was fantastic. "Are you a doctor?" "No," the woman replied. "...........I'm with the Inland Revenue."

Parents 'responsible for children's bad behaviour'
JustMike replied to Thorpe-le-Saint's topic in The Lounge
It is the parents responsibility though. What you install during those first 5 years of their lives (boundaries etc) is essential to their early schooling. Yes, we need to have schools singing from the same song sheet which in my experience with 4 kids happens and works very well. Your point about the child with a "name" is a different topic imo as this is down to individual teachers and their experiences with these children in question. Yes, this kid may be an angel for you but who's to say that is the case throughout. In my experience, where I have seen bad kids, when it comes to parents evening, you can see why. What hope do some children have when the parents are infact worse! Just a quick point on the cane, it was around when i was at school but as a deterent it worked, but then again we had more respect back then so wouldnt dare do half the things some kids do today. -
Me too

memorial stadium, 1 stand looks like a cricket pavilion, the end behind the goal is no more than a marquee.
