I do understand what you mean. Last night there were a couple of occassions when a powerful shot was required and he attempted to side foot. He's young and I am sure he will learn from experience (including last night).
-
I hope we keep .. Kelvin Davis Rudi Skacel Andrew Surman David McGoldrick Adam Lallana not so bothered about .. Nathan Dyer Morgan Schneiderlin Lloyd James Bradley Wright Phillips
-
I agree he was excellent last night. He was full of running, held the ball up well, looked dangerous up front, got in key tackles in MF and defence, looked our only aerial threat and was constantly geeing up the players around him. .. and yes he would be player of the season if this was repeated every game.
-
I thought he was ok last night. Added some much needed experience.

Waste of time. Crouch was no better. Lowe will go if and when some real money turns up. It will make no difference otherwise. So for now we have to live within our means and just have to suffer.
-
That's what I thought as well. Surman was clearly struggling. We had a free kick to attack from so why not put on a sub even though very late.

Not sure what all the joy is about. Redcr*p is an average manager in my view. P*mpey will replace him with another average manager, Allerdyce? They will be no worse off. The quotes are quite amusing though ... only club he would join etc

Not feeling confident but here's hoping .. can't make the match as I am away in FE but will be watching the scores on the internet late into the evening. COYR!

Osama must be laughing his t*ts off in his cave

It did strike me, albeit in retrospect, that the most effective way for Osama to bring the western world to its knees would be having your followers apply for sub prime mortgages on mobile home parks across the U.S. and then default, certainly more impact that flying airplanes into buildings. -
Norwich, who are one place below us in the league, are always impressive in these tables and percentages.

I remember when you would get gollywog stickers on Robertson's jam which you could save up and exchange for gollywog badges which you would then wear with pride. Innocent days.

Haven't been there for years but remember the Haunch of Venison as an excellent pub. Also used to enjoy Salisbury races. In the old days you would see a lot of the Saints players there for the midweek fixtures or at the weekends in the summer.

Are England too good for their opposition today? It often seems to be the case we play better against better opposition, Croatia for example, and poorer against poorer opposition. It made me think that maybe we would be better playing Bradley rather than Shaun and perhaps Lloyd rather than David. Any thoughts? OK so we eventually ended up thrashing 'em but it was a struggle for the first 50 mins so I still stand by the point.

It would be sweet if Mick won the Arc on Sunday with Youmzain.

Blackpool are similar to Hull in the Prem.,not rated by the bookies despite their good start. Hull are actually odds on and second favourites for the drop. As for Watford they are currently around 5/1 for the drop, rated seventh most likely.

Good news and well done TT. Always be a hero to me (Ron that is!).

When you haven't got a clue what is going on I sometimes nod sagely and say "I agree".

An email received by Mike Ashley has been leaked and supports the rumour that a group of Nigerian businessmen are interested in buying Newcastle United. it reads "Seasons greetings my friend, We have £450Million pounds held in a secret Nigerian Bank vault which can only be released by your approval. We would like you to send us an £80k fee immediately to release the remainder of the funds to buy Newcastle United."

I also believe we seem to weaken as games go on. I know the stats may not support this but watching the lads we seem to play better in the first half of matches and then, in my view, get muscled out and dominated by the opposition in the second half. I thought this was the case against Birmingham (league match), Blackpool and Ipswich. Barnsley hard to comment as it was just a very poor match. The exception I guess would be Derby away. Perhaps a stamina or strength issue?
-
Agree with all the above. Very sound at the back on Saturday (although Barnsley barely threatened). Useful utility player with the experience needed to help our youngsters. Good hear he is also a leader in the dressing room.

Shareholders will be f*cked (including the small ones like me), trust in Rupert he has too much to lose!

I think we have more fundemental problems however I guess every little helps so I agree.
