I'm on Size at 33/1 to score 1st goal, same bet last goalscorer. I always used to do ok with this bet when Killer was playing. Size I think is a similar player - would come up for the corners and looks like he could score. Only need to get right a couple of times a season to make a profit.

I think Monday is a bank holiday?

This one is really too close to call. On betfair the lay price is 2.00 reflecting a true 50:50 chance of staying up:going down. We really need someone else to fall into the mire - possibly Blackpool or Plymouth?
-
I really wish this would happen however realsitically very unlikely ... 33/1 for the four predictions to come up. 95/1 for the these four plus Saints to win. Also to add further gloom we are best priced 2/5 for relegation at and also we are favourites to finish bottom at 5/4!! I'm afraid far more likely. Sorry I'm in a glass half empty mood this afternoon.

18p a share, surely now the time is right!!
KK the 2nd replied to thorpie the sinner's topic in The Saints
Not significant - about £5k in value terms. 15p is a 5 year low. -
Trouble is City's away form is pretty poor - I can see Pompey winning this one unfortunately
-
Good luck! I hope you're right .. another no.2 who has failed when stepping up .. I can't see him being much better than Adams ..
-
33/1 with skybet.com if you're so sure!! Sven is still where the money is though interestingly there has been some money for Souness - Ladbrokes are now only 9/1!
-
A great read and some great lines! He was 6-foot-1, rare for a Welshman. "The Welsh are small, miserable people," He played for smaller clubs in England ..that would be Pompey I guess!!

It was the "Westwood, John 250/1" that amused me! Bookies with a sense of humour!

Ladbrokes make Grant favourite (odds on 10/11) with Curbishley second favourite at 9/4. Seems to be between these two.
-
Best price with Ladbrokes at 9/4
-
At 17p not worth selling. So far under water on this one I would rather hope for a miracle benefactor and that the price bounces back up or a decent offer is made than sell at that price; even though I know I will be b*ggered if we go into administration.
-
Quite probable as it happens. Both Saints and Bournemouth are odds on to go down (8/11 and 4/6 respectively) with Pompey at 9/4 the combined odds are just over 8/1 on all 3 going down. Brighton more likely to stay up and are 9/2 for the drop so all four to go down would be about 50/1. (can't see any odds on Salisbury).
-
Now 9/4 to go down .. could happen. Anyone else get on at 14/1? I would love picking up my winnings on this one!!

Game for a laugh

Harchester United .. although I think the club exploded and is no more. Redburn Rovers FC .. (of the Earl of Boote, aka "Gorgeous Gus", fame) .. also alas no more back on this planet .. I have a soft spot for Norwich similar size club and challenges, good loyal fans and always enjoyed my away days there (although not at the expense of us going down - hopefully we will both stay up) .. .. plus from the start of this season only Leicester City as I wish NP all the best and have backed them at 6/1 to win the league.

Our fans chanting "Who are you" whenever we score.
KK the 2nd replied to derry's topic in The Saints
Agree totally. These chants just spark a response from the opposition and brings them out of their depression . Far better to celebrate, get behind the team with OWTS etc and ignore them. Having said that not so many opportunities to shoot ourselves in the foot this season .. -
Time for some good old fashioned name dropping
KK the 2nd replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Drummond Arms in Portswood I am guessing? Used to be run by a scot who I think was an ex Saints Goalie, I think his name was Jimmy McGowan. Anyway I remember you would often find Steeley, Eric Martin and Hughie Fisher in there. Anyone throw any light on this one. My memory hazy these days .. to much abuse in my younger days! -

My favourite .. "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

At least the skates got stuffed by West Ham

Pompey are now 4/1 to be relegated - I've a bet at 14/1 so here's hoping. They are in a bunch of six or seven teams that could go down with West Brom and Stoke. Unfortunatey our situation is far worse. We are slightly odds on to go down and pretty much joint favourites with Doncaster and Charlton. Forest are fourth in the betting at just over evens then a gap to the likes of Watford and Norwich at around 4/1. Therefore I fear if Pompey do go down we will miss them, as we will be in L1. -
A real shame but it looks like we will lose both. In answer to the hypothetical question then, of the two, I would prefer Surman to stay.
-
I think we should focus on the league and give some of the youngsters a chance.
