Did exactly the same _ took about 40 mins in total at lunchtime. Got reasonable position seats in Kingsland block 36. Should be fun. I fear we might lose but hopefully we will be through to Wembley anyway.

Outside chance but could happen. We are 7/1 to be promoted or 1 in 8 chance according to the bookies. Taking their margin out probably means a true 1 in 10 chance. Given the only way we will go up is via the playoffs I reckon we would be slightly odds on to beat whoever we met in the semis and the final and working that backwards that we would be around a 2/1 chance to reach the playoffs or 1 in 3 chance.

Anyone Else Think We Could Be Playing pompee...
KK the 2nd replied to TijuanaTim's topic in The Saints
I think it is a possibilty but still very unlikely. Pompey are likely to go down and are 1/3 with most bookies, best price 2/5. We are still outsiders to go up, 7/1 in most places. Best priced double on the two outcomes is 11.2 or 10/1. So based on the above, and allowing for bookies margins, there is about an 8% chance of this happening. -
I disagree. The guy is taking the p*ss. It's a ridululous bet and clearly can't be paid out on. It's a bit like having an acca on a single football match to end 0-0 at 8/1, no goalscorer at 8/1, the match to be a draw at 3/1, a draw half time and full time at 5/1. All the ourcomes are related and it's the same with this bet. You can write what you want on a betting slip but don't expect to be paid on daft bets like this. We'd all be millionaires and the bookies would be bust within weeks. BTW Rut's explanation is probably better.

I can't see this on the OS? I see that you can buy two tickets for each ST for the Area Final but can't see any mention of the Wembley final?

Is that the George Inn at Southwark near London Bridge? Haven't been there for years but used to be a great old pub steeped in history

What are your bets on us this season?
KK the 2nd replied to Legod Third Coming's topic in The Saints
I didn't bet on this year - I thought the ten point penalty was too much to overcome. There are some I thought about and I wished I had. Pompey to go down at 4/1, Lambert top gs in L1 at 6/1 for example. Anyway .. I do fancy us to get a result tomorrow at Leeds and have had a dabble on us winning at 7/2 with Skybet. -
The match was a draw but we won on penalties. Therefore the answer is NO and YES.

Does this happen to anyone else, or is it just me?
KK the 2nd replied to Thorpe-le-Saint's topic in The Saints
I haven't experienced quite the same level of excitement as others though I can't help noticing their cranes now and pointing out to the anyone in the car that that's a Liebherr crane. Never had any awareness of cranes or the Liebherr name until this summer. -
Happy to post my one on to you if you want. I've read it and it will only get thrown out in due course.

Alan McInally - totally unintelligible and utterly incomprehensible. How on earth did he ever end up as a pundit??????

Absolutely agree. Arise "Sir Mick" is long overdue.

I agree it was tough luck and annoying but so what? These things happen. I was supporting the Irish last night but was as annoyed as much by Keane and Duff for not putting away golden chances as this incident. The ref could have given a penalty when Anelka went down which also would have been tough but would there be this furor and calls for the match to be replayed; I think not.

No I don't but I would nominate Auf Wiedersehen Pet

I also let my heart rule my head and bought 2500 when they were 40p. I received about £250 in ddividends over the time. I had written this off some time ago and didn't expect anything. The letter was poor though (layout, content etc).

The Racing Post, in the sports section, shows a form table with the last eight leagues matches. We are in the fourth spot with 17 points, the same as leaders Leeds, Millwall, Norwich and fifth placed Colchester.

Remember the Good Friday ones. A sprint to the pub after to see how many you could neck before the boozer closed at 2pm. In a strange perverse way I miss those challenges, it's all too easy now!

No, I wouldn't want him at the club but that is the club's prerogative. I also think he is a "scrote" but he has been punished by the UK judiciary and legal system. Once he has done his time, he should be free to try and gain employment.
