  1. Sorry, I saw a fair few of those and the individual quality today is way below in my opinion. Appreciate the conditions are awful too but it’s like kick and rush under 10’s stuff. Simply no composure anywhere.
  2. We are just so bad today at literally every level from team selection on! Obviously take any sort of win but I don’t think I have ever seen a worse level of football in 55+ years.
  3. Not sure I can recall all the options now but Steve Cooper or Sean Dyche would be a couple of examples. Both have loads of experience at both Championship and EPL levels and also know what a well run football club looks like. Appreciate their football 'styles' are not the most attractive but they know how to win matches, get teams promoted and stay in the EPL. I think both would also find ways to give our team a proper backbone again, something we have been missing for a number of seasons. Being an established, stable EPL team again would create the opportunity to attract a more high profile manager and players too. That all looks a long way away now doesn't it!
  4. Hard to disagree with this observation - although no doubt all genuine Saints fans wish him well. For me the real question remains - just why were SR / Dragon prepared to take this level of risk when there were clearly much 'safer' choices available to them, especially given the horrendous failure of the previous season and the inevitable harm done to players, staff and fans. Assuming Will is 'still' in post at Christmas - SR / Dragon must buy a decent centre forward wherever we are in the league!
  5. Thanks for this post - got a ticket for my first away game for ages! Had to give up my season ticket this year after 40+ years due to relocating for family reasons - new grandson - and found myself consistently missing out on away games due to lack of purchasing history. Now some would say it's a blessing to no longer have a season ticket given all the dross we have witnessed, especially lately but once a Saint - always a Saint! COYRs
  6. X 2 We are just so weak!!!!! x 3 - hard to find words for this - Mr Still has one hell of a job on his hands. As has been the case for several seasons - we just have no backbone do we. Whilst we cleared out a fair amount of the 'rubbish' this summer, it's more than obvious too many poor players remain. Oh dear...
  7. X 2 We are just so weak!!!!!
  8. Simply utterly pathetic again!
  9. First game Jan 1967 (birthday treat aged 11) 4-4 draw with Leicester Ron Davies hattrick and one for Martin Chivers - Gordon Banks was in goal for them and Peter Rodrigues was playing full back. Great way to get started eh?!
  10. Any decent streams today?
  11. Is he real that good?
  12. Jeez, this looks like a decent lesson for WS to learn what we all know already about Suga and BB. Ronnie is not doing himself any favours either.
  13. Can we a have a centre forward for the second half please
  14. Watching on Sky - what does Hinchcliffe have against us?
  15. Absolutely this and it made us much more positive as an attacking force. Edwards fitted in well as the right sided CB. In the second half he also switched Archer to the centre playing a little deeper off Downs and he looked so much more dangerous. Wee man went to the wing and he was much more effective in that role too. TBF the wee man put a real shift in over the 90mins, playing as a 10, a winger and then centre mid for a bit. His energy round the pitch rubbed off on some of the other too. Think he just might be a real utility option for WS.
  16. Rupert Lowe's a Wanker, he wears a Wankers hat...
  17. I've got 55 years in and have to agree with this - fucking sad state of affairs!
  18. Dragan Solak, Dragan Solak, What the F*** is going on, What the F*** is going on? Appreciate the apologists will say he's just made some changes so be patient but, SERIOUSLY let's put him on notice at least! From a football perspective, there is no doubt that SR have made far more poor decisions than good ones, whether that's managerial appointments or transfers. Yes, there have been some improvements around the stadium 'experience' and moving the away fans has lessened their impact IMHO but there's not much else is there. Our fans we are certainly very loyal, just look at the attendances given what we are witnessing! Let's be honest with ourselves, St Mary's is not the most intimidating stadium for away teams most of the time BUT when we do get up for a game (eg WBA at home last season) it makes a real difference. Let's give Dragon a little reminder of that before the Brighton game.
  19. He was consistently aiming at Aribo who won a few wide left or it went into touch and therefore was safer for us. He tried the same with big Lez when he replaced Joe. Otherwise we don’t have anyone likely to win a long ball in the air from the keeper. on the other hand we could try playing out from the back to keep possession…

  22. Any decent streams?
  23. Some RM likes Jack's attitude and leadership which is why he wants him on the pitch and to be fair, he has a point. So often in recent seasons we've lacked any leadership and little / no shithousery things which Jack definitely brings. Problem is that he is not as good a CB as THB or JB! A better option fit Jack in more naturally might be 3 at the back which would also suit KWP and Bree / RM but obviously requires a bigger rethink further up field. For certain games / situations if might be a useful option. The 'sweeper' type role suits Jack best in my view. When he is coming forward with the ball he can add something to our play but equally we are not so vulnerable to the odd error to which he is prone... When Downes plays we don't need Jack so much as he brings some leadership and grit defensively and if he is out then we must play Charles in that slot as many have said to keep the basic structure sound. THB did ok today at fullback because he is a good player but we certainly do not get the best out of him in that position. He also brings leadership and organisation and is defo future captain material. Despite the goals we are scoring in this division, we still don't have a natural finisher as far as I am concerned. I know it's not a popular opinion but I do think Mara might be the best we have in that department if we are prepared to give him more game time and some patience. He can score goals that Che never will. There is much to admire about Che but he is not a premiership class forward is he! Mara just might be as he matures. We have a decent set of midfield / attacking players for this level - Ryan, Sam, Stuey, Adam, Joe x 2, Will, Sule and Brooks - all can be excellent on their day and there are some nice combinations amongst them. We all know Saints really do things the easy way but we can get out of this division so keep the faith. COYRs
