The good ones are the ones that build up relationships with their customers, they don't have to do the "Big Issssuuue" thing most of the time as their regulars will come to them. The one I knew would be busy talking to these lonely old ladies in the street all day. They were happy, as they had someone to talk to. He was happy as he liked chatting and they would always give him a tip, buy him lunch and some food for the dog!

Go and talk to a couple of them and ask them the circumstances behind how they find themselves selling the Big Issue. Most of the sellers I have spoken to have been nice chaps, who have either made a few mistakes in life or been dealt a **** hand. The better ones enjoy their work and talking to the public, and certainly don't find it degrading.

Ask them for £100 per day. Also, what are the chances of getting called out?

Used to buy it when I worked in Cheltenham for a few months. The main Big Issue guy there is a legend in those parts, and a Saints fan to boot - John Doe. **** magazine though.
