I know, I know. All I can say is that it'll be one of my lifelong regrets -

I didn't. Was busting for a pee and didn't want to urinate on the streets of Blackpool. However, if I'd known the result up-front, might have been more feral. -

I have not met Turks in real life yet, so wouldn't really know. He may have been there, doing everything you suggest. However, my priorities at the time were getting chips and finding a bog. -

I'm not really one for fashion Tokes, but I reckon my mate was better turned out. I remain as always a walking shambles. -
Not at all, Bazza. Pride comes before a fall, and I've repeatedly shown myself to be one of the few posters to show a bit of humility. I don't want any more infractions on account of you, matey. I don't care where you live, and if you hadn't brought it up, that would have been just fine with me. If you want to keep posting this nonsense as "proof", fair play to you. I'm not convinced though, skip. Don't expect others to be, especially when if all you say is true, you could pretty much bury this once and for all. Shame you choose not to.

Never had cause to. I sent you a PM ages ago, effectively stating that I'd apologise to you in front of the entire forum if I turned out to be wrong about your living arrangements. That offer still stands. Put up or shut up.

Mate, given your lack of understanding of the term "extreme left" and your willingness to use it anyway, how seriously do you think I'm taking your insightful character analysis?
-
Bazza doesn't know what "extreme left" means.
-
Y'see, here was me thinking that any party of the extreme left would be doing away with notions of private property and instituting something close to communism. So Sarah Teather is part of that movement, eh? Can you tell us what evidence you have to back this up?

I've met VFTT in real life in a Blackpool chippy. He is not exactly trading on the looks of a Greek god. In fact, I reckon I'm prettier than him. -
£10 million better, to be exact
-
Yeah, but to be fair, all we need to do to get 12M is to invite Arsene down
-
I'm intrigued, Bazza. Tell us more about the extreme left and liberal elite. Who are they? Are you talking about Clegg and Teather?

I've been spending more time away from my beloved papcave and as a consequence, have had more time to sit down with the kids and watch what they watch. I saw a show called Secret Princes. The premise is simple. It's like Coming To America, but nowhere near as fun. Basically, four titled non-American eligible bachelors decide they wanna do common people, go to the US and spend a few weeks pretending to be a bus-boy or waiter, then reveal all once the girly has fallen for their natural charm. They then zoom back to the respective countries of origin of the "princes" ( some are merely lords ) and see how the American girl gets on in their environment. Note that none of this actually constitutes a recommendation for the show. It's actually pretty terrible, and features one of the worst adverts for British aristocracy that I've ever seen, essentially a pack of upper class bullies laughing at their American visitor's relative poverty. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2189996/A-real-life-Coming-To-America-Young-princes-undercover-hunt-future-wives.html Avoid, or watch once just for sneering potential.

As others have pointed out, VW, this has got bugger all to do with illegal immigration. Your friend is being kept out of council accommodation by people who have the legal right to be here. The vans aren't meant for them. They're meant for illegal immigrants, those who are not from an EU state and haven't made themselves known to the state through an asylum claim. Let's move on to "look after your own" next. I think anyone who has a family has a broad measure of agreement with that. It's what responsible parents are supposed to do. Beyond that, what are "my own", exactly? Compatriots? Fellow Brits? You and Alps may believe that we should look after our countrymen, and those are fine sentiments, but according to public opinion, we're all scroungers too. "Our own", legally, pretty much includes anyone in the EU, which would include the Eastern Europeans which are keeping your friend out of social landlord accommodation.

Last time I was there, they still had guilders. I didn't know they did the phlegmy H on it, but I don't pronounce it Goo-da
-
This is a view that is backed up by ms pap, even though she cannot pronounce Gouda properly.

Aldi and Lidl aren't bad places to get a big part of your shop. We used to have an Aldi around 200 metres away from our place; was very handy for general stuff that didn't require a trip to TESCO. Quality is fine; it's just the range of products that is smaller, which is to be expected when you see the difference in store size. I am reminded of the old joke regarding low-cost chains. Q: "What's black, yellow and full of sh!te". A: "A NETTO carrier bag".

Some very nice goals, going from the highlights (cheers, Chudsaint). Makes me rather excited about next season; Mayuka's goal was out of the top drawer. Two of the goals were off left feet as well. Nice to have in the locker. -
They're not referring to us. They are referring to what is expected of them. What would you rather have? Player talking about an exciting project, which is at least plausible, or how it has always been his long term dream to sign for Southampton, which probably isn't.

Halliburton did very well out of Iraq. Didn't even have to bid for a lot of the contracts. Fancy that, as Private Eye says.
-
Yup, and I have a problem with this whenever they do it - be it TV Licensing, benefit scroungers or whatever. I'd sooner they spent the money on enforcement.
