Are Saints one of the most boring teams to watch these days? Last night's "performance" was simply continuing a them. If anything they're going backwards - in more than one way.

This Israeli team look like they'd be happier taking on Tom Daly.

Lack of invention and all too ponderous in the attacking 3rd. Chelsea look well capable of doing Saints on the break.

Well if you need about 30 chances to score once that's what can happen. Very hard to take that result.

I just can't understand how rotten and corrupt some people seem to be. Call me a soft old leftie with his head in the clouds if you like but I wonder whether this is just the tip of a very rotten iceberg. It's becoming difficult to believe that almost everyone in football isn't on the make.

Far too many Saints players were nothing more than pretty awful. Attack threadbare. Still, a point gained.

Martina has been that rubbish he'll probably hit screaming winner in the last minute. Have to feel for Hesketh but he was completely by-passed and offered no pressing at all.

Didn't realise the diamond formation required players to wander ponderously around before giving the ball away cheaply.

A good few things to be positive about. Plenty of good possession & passing but too many players first thought is to pass back or sideways. Occasionally dispossessed as well. The real problem is the perennial one for Saints and that is the failure to turn possession into goals. Loads of play around the Man Utd penalty area in the 2nd half but there didn't seem to much idea about what to do with it. Early days though.
