  1. We don't have to walk it into the net FFS! Try shooting (on target).
  2. Rather inept performance. Saints were always likely to gift us a spot of despair for Christmas.
  3. Sunderland were poor. Saints were worse.
  4. 0-1 down and we've hardly had a shot. Dreadful stuff!
  5. Another rubbish free kick
  6. Jeez! I never thought that Saints would be worse in the 2nd than the 1st.
  7. Very lethargic stuff from Saints. Awful ball retention and hardly any decent chances created. I predict 0-2.
  8. I live in Reading so feel that I really should stick up for some of their long-standing diehard types. There are a few but, frankly, not many although I tend to find the ones that I chat to pretty fair. Tonight in the pub there was no doubt about the better side today. Something I do find though is that a lot of Reading fans also seem to support some other team, be it Chelsea or Spurs or Liverpool or whatever. Maybe it's something to so with JCLs or perhaps the large number of people living here that hail from elsewhere. It all seems rather bizarre.
  9. What's the difference?
  10. Will be setting off from Reading for match soon. I really require Saints to make my life in the local here tonight a bit easier than it has been over recent seasons. A comfortable win would be nice but I don't think the Royals will be pushovers.
  11. Nope. I meant the Agger goal. Watched it slowed down on my MOTD recording and he's offside when the ball is played. Surprised more didn't notice.
  12. Could be the offside winner last week.
  13. Have just taken the time (at last) to watch MOTD. Looked to me like Agger's goal was offside. I know it doesn't matter now but has anyone else mentioned this?
  14. Powder puff in the tackle. How is it only 1-0?
  15. Indeed you are. Especially since I agree somewhat.
  16. There was me thinking "that's a tame shot - Gazza's got it covered". Not for long. So depressing to concede like that just before the break.
  17. Well, having just watched a recording of MOTD, my original opinion has been proved correct. Both incidents in the 2nd half that were shown indicate that Lallana was fouled in the penalty area. They looked like penalties at the time and that is confirmed by the replays. The incidents in the first half were not shown and I was too far from the action so can't comment.
  18. Odd dream last night that Adkins was sacked at half time today and that the team refused to take to the pitch because of it. I'll be heading off to St Mary's in a couple of hours in the hope that Saints reach half time well in control of matters.
  19. Much as I'm disappointed with the way things have gone so far this season I'd prefer Adkins to stay. Stability might be preferable to upheaval right now.
  20. Only lost by 2 this time. Was Nigel waving good-bye?
  21. Jeez! This is really quite depressing.
  22. Bottom now then. Optimists - the only way is up. Pessimists - this is where we'll be for the rest of the season.
  23. Right now the very idea of reaching 40 points looks just a little bit laughable. There's a chance that safety might require somewhat fewer than that if we're lucky.
  24. If Reed's job is to look after recruitment then one has to say that he's been a bit of a failure. Must be nice for him to sit comfortably in the background while others take the flak.
  25. Unlikely I would have thought. http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php says 19th Nov which is probably nearer the mark. Cork could be back next week though. I think he's been missed.
