Can't disagree with that but I was really wondering whether Reading's defence might not have been quite so resilient without Gorkss. Just wondering out loud though.

I wonder what might have been different if Gorkss had signed for Saints rather than Reading.

There's an argument to be had whether Reading have been the better side during the latter part of the season and I'll no doubt be discussing that with reasonable Reading fans in the local. They probably have the best 'keeper in the division together with a robust and fairly consistent central defence and that has served them well because they have often been under considerable pressure in games. Luck has certainly smiled on them this season and their own fans are happy to admit that. With their ability to be clinical in their finishing that possibly puts them very slightly ahead of Saints but I know who's football I'd rather watch.

Having been middle aged for quite some time now I prefer to wear anything that comes to hand that isn't too whiffy. I've even forgotten or lost all the lucky pants, shirts, shoes, socks that have failed miserably in the past. Just wondering what is expected of us middle aged blokes these days? A lounge suit, cravat and cardigan with slip on shoes perhaps?

Whatever happens West Ham have to win both their remaining games to have any chance at all. Saints can put the matter beyond doubt on Saturday evening though and that's what I'd expect them to go for. I really do not want the matter to be unresolved on the last day thank you.
