We don't look the same with Stephens.

Looks a bit wild out there. Saints 3-0 to the good despite a rather lacklustre performance. Only time Villa look dangerous is when the ref gifts them a free kick. Job now is to keep 11 men on the park in face of some intimidation. And stop giving the ref a chance to award them free kicks.

Good all round performance but Redmond motm? He'd have been nowhere on my shortlist.

Should have had the 3 points. Will take that though.

Giving too many FKs away.

Why didn't Redmond shoot from there?

Untidy start to the 2nd half by Saints. Redmond on probably 'cos Saints want to finish the game with 11 on the pitch.

Another goal or four for Saints wouldn't go amiss.

So many missed chances. Hope we're not going to end up regret these.

Not a good performance at all. Take those 3 points though.

Typical season opener from Saints. Defence all at sea. Midfield kept giving it away. Attack had a couple of chances but not much service. Too slow. Looked unfit.

Saints looking a bit tired now.

Two of them are offside.

Too slow again.

Redmond 4 marks out of 10 so far and that's me feeling generous.

Save!

Never a red.

Saints not looking much of a threat at all. Need to move the ball with a bit more urgency & accuracy. Palace looking more likely at the moment.

That was caused by fannying around in the middle of the pitch. Stoopid.

Too much fannying around in defence again.

Redmond much better today.

Adams with a good finish.

Lots of possession, silly defensive mistake and lack of pressure in the attacking third. Been here before. Still, better towards the end of the first half but I reckon we're more likely to see Sharp nick a 2nd from a poor Saints pass.

A quick reminder of Saints defensive problems.

Saints with an average performance but still enough to see off Bomo. Just wondering if Redmond got any decisions right in that game.
