JWP not involved tonight it would seem.

Last year we only needed to finish above 18th. This time we're looking to be top 6 minimum. Aren't we?

Looks a tough league doesn't it.

MLT a pretty good footballer but off his trolley on other matters.

Saints employing a rugby chap? How'd that go last time?

Sully centre of the shop window.

Virgin Media doing their bit to keep me from watching this by coming up with a yo-yo internet connection. Probably for the best.

I did wonder whether Theo might have been able to offer Saints something for one more season but not to be then. Couldn't fault his effort this season, something that was markedly different to others that I could mention.

The question I'm asking myself is whether Jones could have really done any worse than Selles. When I hear that JWP says he rather enjoyed the season I wonder whether the hard-nosed Welshman might have been shown the door because he was getting a bit fed up with the players' losing mentality.

At last the day has arrived. The day that we can finally lay this mess of a season in its grave. π Then time to move on to the resurrection and the coming of our saviour? Let us pray. π Enjoy the day, if you can.

Second half capitulation ... very Saints-like.

Of the two teams I think I'd prefer to see the Luton coach in charge at Saints. π

There's a losing mentality at Saints currently. Unless that weak mentality gets turned around we'll just see more of the same. Selles couldn't do it because he was part of that loser thinking. Martin will have a job just getting Saints believing they can actually win games. He'll need our support in doing that.

Not exactly quality is it? So far you'd have to wonder how either of these sides are on the brink of the EPL. Luton looking much more likely to make life a bit uncomfortable for the EPL prima donnas though.

11 seasons in the Premier League - Best Moments
obelisk replied to melmacian_saint's topic in The Saints
I find myself thinking back to the 4-0 win over Coventry in 2012 that saw Saints promoted to the top division with Coventry heading the other way. All that effort used in getting back into the EPL and now seemingly discarded without much of a fight. How ironic that Coventry could now be replacing Saints in the EPL. -
Four managers in one season then. Must be some sort of record.

"Sport Republic confirm lead investor Dragan Ε olak has been appointed chairman of Sport Republic and will play a more active role "in overseeing the activities of the group and supporting the leadership of the club."

Embarrassingly poor by Saints. Again.

Worst game I've seen from Lavia.

McCarthy beaten at near post. Normal service.

I'll not miss VAR next season.
