  1. Then we can sign him in six years when his legs have gone and give him the equivalent of £75 k a week for being a nice bloke.
  2. I know this was said in jest, but the tragedy with Theo is if his reported wage of £75k a week is correct then he is "worth" minus £3.9 million per year, so unless they have something to trade us to the value of minus £3.9 million per year, or thereabouts then probably not.
  3. I guess "Casper" Schmeichel would be the only one who could see him?
  4. Clucking bell! I was blindsided by that one!
  5. Not being alive would also be a massive disadvantage.
  6. As much as I'd like to secure him based on his services to date, why would Chelsea be in any rush, there is no incentive for Chelsea to cash in now, the end of the season is is only 4 months away. If he carries on the way he is he will be worth a lot more, eiter to them as a player or to the highest bidder. The only pressure to act now is on us, because we will be unlikely to be bale to compete at the end of the season if he does become available.
  7. I know, confusing isn't it? How all those bookies don't go out of business when their odds setting process is such a finger in the air exercise.
  8. He's only 25, he deserves another chance wherever that may be.
  9. I have it on good authority he took it on board and he is joining us with the sole purpose of self improvement, vis a vis, not being a wanker anymore. I have to say so far it’s working very well, I am no longer thinking of him as a wanker, but a rather fine young chap. However, if he does not sign for us he will swiftly revert to being a wanker with ridiculous hair ! I appreciate everyone isn’t as balanced and rational as me, but please, give it some thought.
  10. Just to let you know we all appreciate your gesture to personally funding Deli Ali’s wages, we all like to think we are good supporters , but that’s taking it to the next level! 3 cheers for nta786!
  11. To be honest I've never really understood how it works, using Livramento as an example, how is the fee set? Do we say we want £50 million, Chelsea say no, we then sell him to Liverpool for £35 million, can Chelsea come back at us? Or, do Chelsea say they are paying £25 million and they then go and flip him for £35 million? I can't get my head round it. Or was the value agreed at the time of signing? That aside, it feels it's just another way of the very wealthiest clubs increasing their pool of players.
  12. Hope his discipline is OK, don't want to see too many early baths, and I'd hate to see his career go down the pan.
  13. There would be some sort of cost benefit analysis which you would presume had been undertaken by all prior to proceeding with capital projects in any business, not just the 5 football clubs highlighted in the article. It's always a difficult one with Saints, there are always going to have 28,000 of us turn up regardless of the drabness of the product or surroundings whilst we are in the premier league. It would depend on how the new owners see the future?
  14. I enjoyed our Jack berating Bruno Fernandes at SMS
  15. https://constructionmanagement.co.uk/the-uks-top-5-football-stadium-construction-projects/ Just saw this in a construction publication, there are some stunning projects afoot. Finances permitting its time we did something with SMS, it's very tired, dated, drab and generic. It was what we needed at the time, the Barr Construction "flat pack" was the cheapest £ / per seat available, but things have moved on.
  16. Not sure how that fits with his family being keen for him to stay with us, there is also the chance he will get lost in the Chelsea black hole (maybe why his family are keen for him to stay). A couple of years with us going the way he is going maybe the best outcome for all parties. Having said that I don't like these buy-back / first refusal clauses, feels like a lease deal.
  17. I'd be happy for Stephens to spend the remainder of his career here. I don't have an issue with McCarthy either, he would be fine as a backup keeper, if we can find a better keeper.
  18. Notwithstanding the interesting deviation into all things mucus related
  19. Makes sense, Spurs are a bogey team for us
  20. Sounds like another snot-nosed kid to me!
  21. Fair point, if we don’t need to raise cash for his upgrade. I actually don’t have a problem with Elyonoussi, but I’m all for doing whatever we need to to improve my n what I think is now our weakest position
  22. Fair play indeed, sell him now while his stock is high ish.
  23. When did he have COVID, must have been a year before anyone had heard of it? Must have been the Pangolin kebab I saw him eating in Bedford Place in 2018.
  24. Alan Smith is so unbelievably dull, he sucks the energy out of an exciting game, every time
  25. They’ve done this before, they are not a great side but they do have some very good players. I’m sure they’ll string a few crucial wins at some point.
