Jees, all this is confirming is what a forgettable bunch we have now.

On reflection I have concluded there are only three things that will end Raplh's reign. 1. He has already called time for the end of the season (based on nothing other than a hunch) or some other pre agreed juncture. 2. He will find a run of form and be offered something by someone at the next level. 3. We will be taken over and the new owners will have their own ideas (he could of corse fit with their plans) I was very annoyed with him after Wolves, Saturday, not quite as much, but Theo shouldn't be anywhere near the starting lineup and there were a couple of other dubious selections in my opinion, but we did well. So in true flip flopping fashion, I hope he stabilises things and keeps us in the prem until the ownership thing is satisfactorily sorted.

Shilton Ivan Golac - Dave Watson - Michael Svennson - Mick Mills Steve Williams - Matt Le Tissier - Jimmy Case - David Armstrong Alan Shearer - Joe Jordan Not saying they are all the best, or would make a best 11 if all playing at once, but they were my favourites, so apologies to the OP for stretching it a little.

Wye aye captain, ya just not set up reet , now listen ‘ere ere mon, what you autagh be doin is….

I think Elyounoussi has the most about him currently. Rank 1. Mo, 2.Moussa 3. Redmond 25. Theo

We are not average, we are nowhere near that good. Is it two goals from open play in 7 games? Averaging 0.58 points per game. Apparently, according to Grant Coleman, the last 7 game winless run was in the ‘90’s. 1 of our two main strikers has scored 1 goal, the other has 0. I’m not worried about today, it’s Wolves and Newcastle away that cause me massive concern. As you say we need to start winning games soon.
-
That’s not in doubt, the issue is we are crap against the dross around us, that’s where Ralph’s over complicated game plans are so infuriating.
-
Don’t get me wrong, I love the guy, just don’t see it happening. He put us on the global stage, Ralphy boy has in part turned us into a provincial club, a Norwich if you like.
-
I don’t know if going back ever works. Also, he was too big for the club (Les & Co) last time, this lot couldn’t and wouldn’t attempt to handle him.

Just like the The Curates Egg

True, my previous post was making the same point, then, against my better judgment I got drawn in.
-
True , the midfield are not helping either, if they could chip in with a few goals and killer balls it would make a huge difference.
-
Be honest, I thought you were talking crap as well.
-
Surely there is a thread for this crap in the lounge, where all you lot with too much time on your hands can talk about Covid, like it hasn’t been done enough

Going to Stenhousemuir in Jan.

Poor old Chelsea, they'll be forced to draft in another world class superstar instead.
-
Impressive stats, but I can’t recall many world class saves or dramatic goal line clearances. A lot of very speculative shots from outside the box and fumbled scuffs inside the box, and conversely not shooting when we should. As an aside, I’m a big fan of jwp, but I can’t understand why he is so good at free kicks but can’t strike a moving ball.

Yes, he does not

Possibly an error of judgement, they are not football people running the club, they obviously have or had faith in Ralph, or have gone so far down the Raph road they hoping and praying it all works out? I had the impression clubs didn't run that way anymore, investing everything in the manager, who if he leaves, necessitates complete rebuilding, like the old days of the Harry Redknapp "my way or the highway" types. You'd also have to say they are all his players now, regardless of whether has signed them or not, as they are only still here because he wants them here?
-
I admit to being a bit agricultural tactically, but, when we play a team that is around our level, at home, why are we so worried about nullifying them and in the process nullifying ourselves? I'd have happily taken the risk with Peraud, I think he may have created a goal or two had he had the 3 or more chances to whip a ball in that KWP had and fluffed, given he is on hs wrong foot. It didn't have to be Djneppo in front of him, there is Diallo as an extra midfield option, there is Tella, there are probably other combos, or, there is Redmond who was picked. Why didn't we let Wolves worry about us?
-
A better manager? You wouldn’t have to be that exceptional a manager to play the best players in their best positions, and make the tight tactical and personnel changes when required. He massively over complicates things.
-
Knowing schizophrenic Saints we’ll probably do ok.

Ralph said something before that game about his application, then he had the good cameo against West Ham, apparently (according to Dan Sheldon), he looked poor against Sheffield United reserves last week.
