I thought he’d previously stated he wasn’t wedded to a particular system, therefore, not having the players to play his “preferred” system shouldn’t mean he has to default to five at the back?
-
Just to be clear, I’m not anti Still. It’s just a comment that we seem to feel the need to be “innovative” in the way we do things. I am however, at this time, concerned that Still and Spors are a green on green combination that don’t have the necessary expertise required for this brutal league.
-
We couldn’t do that, we are way too clever to employ a proven manager that knows the league.
-
I don’t know how Downs will turn out, I’m not especially hopeful for him, but the bigger issue he isn’t championship ready. This is what concerns me with the current set up, I’m OK with Still, but neither he or Spores know what is required in this league, whereas you can see Mark Robbins and whoever buys their players know exactly what is required.

Imagine that team minus Fernandes

What did Bazunu do? I couldn’t see from the other end of the ground

Wee man did put in a good shift, but he’s getting too long in the tooth to play that role, he badly ran out of puff. I also noticed he is reluctant to take his man on anymore, so generally cuts back or passes short. 10/10 for effort, but we need better. Someone who can get behind. We are really missing KWP

Not really, you need to pick up 2+ points a game to get in the autos, every loss is a setback
-
Completely forget D Downs was playing
-
That’s the championship in a nutshell.

Keeps picking the best and payer for the first two games, strange.

I think so, but it needs to be someone way better than West Ham. I would have thought one of the Portuguese premier league managers may shown an interest, that’s assuming he stays in England.

Shame there isn’t a hooray emoji 🍾 🥂

I’m really not bothered what the “inside track” is. Good for him, good for us. £40 million plus sell on is fantastic business, it may finance our promotion. We don’t know if his potential is ever going to be realised, if it is then we will it seems benefit from that. I also don’t think getting the crap kicked out of him every week would be good for him and one final point, what would have been achieved by forcing a player to stay against his will and then having to let him go for a fraction of what we will get now?
-
If he’s good, well done Johannes. If his bad…eff you Wankerson and your Danish nepotism!
-
Do you think there is still an offer on the table? I’m not so sure that ship hasn’t sailed.
-
It all depends what happens in the next two weeks, this current team will struggle to make an automatic spot.
-
I’m hoping for an absolute humiliation, Leicester style, just so the scales can finally be lifted from the cultists eyes.

Or you never see Meghoma again. Or he goes to a Russell realignment camp. It struck me last night watching Charlie for Everton, getting stuck into contests and driving forward at every opportunity, Martin couldn’t wait to get him out the door.

They need to be brave and trust the process. I wonder how many busses have engines at the ready in preparation for multiple players being thrown under them?
-
I’m so glad that’s never happened to us.

I think Leeds will do ok, I don’t know much about Sunderland but I think they’ll struggle
-
Sunderland and Leeds have both achieved 25% of Saints seasons total points in one game 😂
