  1. The Lallana one was worrying yesterday. Always worse when a player goes down after not being touched. Looked like an awkward one and he's got a bit of history with injuries. Just hope it's not his troublesome groin.
  2. Wouldn't have Cleverley anywhere near the squad. Henderson and Barkley both better, as is the majority of the prem.
  3. He's certainly better than the dross played in CM last night. Not sure JWP and Gerrard could play as a paid though?! Will be there after the WC.
  4. Chile are a different league to England. We don't seem to have any system in place? Lallana did ok. Jrod looked lost. Certainly the system suits our players very well. Jrod looked like he didn't quite know what he was doing. Didn't know whether to push up and press or just cover the full back. Crap game really
  5. Lallana good, Jrod poor, Our CM is so so poor. Wilshere given the ball away so much. Lampard is just awful as always, Milner has been good. We seem to be doing a sort of half press, sometimes we press but it's all in 1s either press all together or sit on the half way line. We're at home FFS
  6. That's what I'm doing with a mate. Going up on the Friday after our work Xmas doo on the Thursday. Should be a cracker of a weekend!
  7. It was the pressure of us being 3rd in the League, plus there being noone else as everyone else was injured - so Rickie HAD to be given a chance and did well. Therefore Hodgson opening his eyes to other Saints players. Something like that anyway
  8. We can sign him on a free I believe as he's out of contract in the summer. I think we can talk to him now as we're not from the same league and then he joins us in the summer. Would be an interesting one...
  9. Bit of a joke but understandable considering the price and Sunday 4pm sky. Whatever happened to 'initial allocations'?
  10. Fair play! Did look at doing that but going to Arsenal and Chelsea, and with it being so close to Christmas I can't really afford it - going to be a pricey one!
  11. Yeah we''ve been scouting around for a decent way of getting there. Cheapest is the megabus but takes ages. Looks like I will be driving up with a mate on Friday afternoon nd coming back Sunday afternoon. Happy to carshare...
  12. I'm upper tier, will be standing. Should be a cracker, hopefully the guy is right and we have taken the full allocation! Doubt it though
  13. Few more added...
  14. That was one of the most boring ones of them.
  15. Yeah - I'm torn. He was class this weekend, and normally is, but can't see us having as much of the ball - so would be tempted to go with Ossie and bring Lambert on ala City away last season.

  17. A top of the table clash awaits and a chance to leapfrog them and go top if Liverpool fail to beat Everton and we win by 2 goals. Hopefully all our boys come through the international break unscathed. Would be tempted to start the same team again, although there is arguement for Osvaldo to start instead of Lambert for this one as we may be playing a bit more on the counter attack than normal. -----------Boruc------------ Clyne--Fonte---Lovren--Shaw -------Vic------Morgan------ JWP------Lallana-------JRod ---------Osvaldo----------- Davis Chambers Gaston Davis Cork Hooiveld Lambert
  18. Erm....have to say either Boruc or Shaw, as our backup is so awful. Lovren would be key but we were relatively tight last season under Pochettino, despite Lovren being a huge upgrade. Lallana on current form would be a huge miss, but we potentially have players who can come in and cover him - despite not being as good. So would have to go with either Boruc or Shaw.
  19. If the league ended up like that there wouldn't be too many complaints - maybe Chelsea and City a bit higher...
  20. I don't feel like it's damage limitation for any games this season like it was last or even pre Cortese. It's odd as I think we're more than capable of getting a result anywhere and maybe even nicking a win! Great times. You're right though. See where we are come NYD, we might well still be up there.
  21. Would be interesting to see who Hodgson starts with. Would be great to have Adam JRod and Rickie all starting vs Chile. Would expect Hodgson may start JRod in Welbecks normal place as he's dropped out, and maybe Adam in the whole. Will probably start with normal dross though. Ruddy; Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines; Wilshere Gerrard; Townsend Lallana JRod; Lambert
  22. Is a huge few weeks for us. We have some very tough games coming up, if we're still top 6 come NYD, then we've done excellently well. Plus we've played a lot of the bottom teams at home. Real shame we couldn't have beaten both West Ham and Sunderland as we'd be top. Just got to keep taking one game at a time, keep working hard and we'll do ok. Top 8 looks a bottom target for us now though.
  23. No. He was very good last year until he got injured, that injury hurt him and he's now back to his best. Awesome performance today and this season in general. Talent
  24. He is immense. One of my favourite players over the last few years, he's a joy to watch. There is no better player at what he does than him in this league.
  25. Do **** off, it's such a dreadful chant. Cringe
