Lots of positives, but also still a long way to go. We've played some brilliant football at times this season, and some real dogged defensive displays. But we just don't have the strength in depth. Are teams working us out? Maybe....but on another night we would have won 3-0 last night and said it was a great performance. Just a bit of a freak result due to poor defending. The back centre 5 (Boruc, Lovren, Fonte, Wanyama and Morgan) are so so impoortant to how we play. Without one or two of these, we're really struggling as the backup is just not good enough to step in. It's not really changed since the start of the season attacking wise - we haven't been potent up front at all all season - but we'd still get a 0-0 or nick a 1-0. Now we've started letting in goals, and we're losing games. Need to get back on it and get our players fit.

Barry Sanchez - don't need to explain why.

Martinez is a top manager. Fair play to him. Not Saints related though - and they've used the loan system to their benefit. Be interesting to see what happens next season. They also have some cracking players of their own though.

Thought he did pretty well for someone who came back in the side.

It's no different to the start of the season, just now we're conceding crap goals. 8 goals conceded in 3 games is not good enough. On another day we would have won 2-0 tonight and maybe nicked a point or more at Arsenal or Chelsea.

Chuffed for them. And drags WHU back into it after a good win vs Fulham at the weekend. Palace play Cardiff at home on Saturday - could draw level on points with them and West Ham on Sat.

I've no idea about Cropper, as have never seen him play, or have barely heard anything about him. But he is our 4th choice keeper, he's not going to be a worldbeater! Especially when our 2nd and 3rd choice are pretty poor. I hope Gazza can show how much he's matured over the last 12 months but I'm not holding my breath!

This. Ref wasn't great by any means but we've had worse. Just have to accept every week that games (and I don't just mean us) will be influenced by very poor reffing.
