TBF though, Shaw would be one of their homegrown players, and would be their first choice left back for years.

You're the only one who said he spat, which if 'facts' are coming from you, they're probably gossip or bullsh!t.

***Rumour alert*** The bloke who sits next to me was adamant that Begovic is coming as he's just bought a house down here.....

I'm not worried by Clyne being injured, Chambers has been superb since he's come into the side. Saying that, Clyne is better right now. I have no problems if I see Chambers is on the teamsheet though. Not like when we're missing Shaw or Fonte!

We all know what needs to happen, so will it happen ?

Hes had a poor season tbf, doesn't contribute enough at the moment. -
Personally don't think he was that bad today. I've seen him have worse games. Simple thing is he's not quite good enough to play on the Prem, but that's not his fault.
-
If Yoshida isn't good enough then we need to buy another CB, there is no way that Jos should be first stand in at any prem club
-
Wanted to give him some time as he wasn't so bad last season and was hoping that he'd have improved. He hasnt. He's utter sh1te. I don't think he would be so bad if we had had our first choice defense, but still....nowhere near good enough!!

Im more worried about their attacking midfielders rather than their strikers.
-
England could do far worse.
-
I believe he is eligible! He has only played for France 21s so is eligible!
-
Yeah they're talking about it on BT. It's a circus, feel sorry for the Cardiff fans!

If we had beaten villa then we would have been saying we're in great form.
-
Marvellous. Get JRod running at them.
-
Would be tempted to play Osvaldo, although I wouldn't be that fussed if Lambert started instead. Think we'll have a lot of the ball, just finding the correct combination to get a few goals. Gazza; Chambers Fonte Lovren Shaw; Morgan Cork; Davis Lallana JRod; Osvaldo Would be my choice.

Well thats not really 'tittle tattle' stuff is it. They should just post a transcript of whats said!

So there are two things on Twitter from the press conference. Clyne back in training and will be assessed ahead of the weekend (I still think Chambers might start anyway), and that we we're not looking to use the Jan transfer window. What a crap press conference!

Is it finished? Live feed isn't working for me!

It's almost not about how good the keeper is, but Boruc has such a calming influence on the defence, our defence doesnt look comfortable when Gazza is in goal.

A long ball side (for me) is when a team just launches the ball up to a striker, aerially, generally from a keeper or CB's, if the ball is being played into the strikers feet or cross field, then thats not long ball for me. From the stats that I see, generally the most occurred pass combinations for a long ball side are CB>ST or GK>ST.
-
We're definitely not a long ball side, but we're more direct now than under Adkins. We mix it up, but also their not long ball hooofs up the pitch. (although when Hooiveld plays they do seem to treble!) There are a lot of balls into the channels or through calls, quite a few balls from Lovren and Fonte into Lallana/Jrod/Lambert/Osvaldo along the ground, and we switch the ball to our full backs a lot who play a long way wide and a long way up the pitch. a ball over 25 yerds counts as a long ball, so when Morgan picks it up from Lovren and pings it across to Shaw/Clyne, that counts as a long ball. I'd prefer us to mix it up anyway - as if teams only play one way, it gets very predictable.
-
This could easily go either way. These kind of teams who have just lost their manager can be very unpredictable. Hopefully we should have too much for them though. Win the midfield which we should be able to do, but I do worry about their pace down the flanks. We have been dominant at home though, and see no reason why it won't continue. 2-1 Saints, Lallana and J-Rod.
