  1. Hahaha!!!! Happy Clappy in full flow! I like the new alpine!
  2. Always one or two strugglers who aren't promoted sides. Can't see them all going down. Sure they'll be an established side or two who struggle too. Newcastle and Sunderland done alright the season before. Stoke/Fulham possibly next season...think Norwich will have a decent year, maybe WBA will struggle a bit more this year? Sunderland could go either way. Could push on or do a QPR it depends how they gel together as they'll have a completely new side next year.
  3. When was the last time we never heard of a signing before it happened....can't see it personally!
  4. I'm guessing you've never seen him play?! Rhodes cost Blackburn £12m, he would probably cost a prem club £15m.
  5. Us to finish above West Ham. Sunderland to stay up - other than that, about right.
  6. Jesus wept BS. Yawn.
  7. Guan normally just says ":)" FWIW, I don't think we'll be signing anyone today.
  8. Don't players in the prem earn much more, therefore offer very little value when moving within the premier league. And players will rarely move for a drop in salary.
  9. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
  10. Qatar "deserve" it because they bribed Blatter the most. It's a complete farce that they have the WC, but I do believe it should be elsewhere In the world than Europe.
  11. So by that logic Ben Reeves contributed more than Mayuka and Guly last season?
  12. It's something like its scaled down from 5% if the player is there between 12-24, so we'd get a bit. Nothing loads though.
  13. So pretty likely Sharp could have also contributed nothing as well.
  14. Possibly, but ask me the same question about Mayuka and I'd probably say he would have as well. All hypothetical anyway though.
  15. Boruc; Clyne Lovren Hooiveld Shaw; Wanyama Morgan Cork; JRod Lallana; Lambert.
  16. I agree, I hate the whole 'he has pace so he's good' argument, but it's not like Sharp has a deft touch is it, or be able to ping it in from 30 yards. He's a good bloke but a very average footballer at this level. If Mayuka or Sharp are our first choice strikers next season, then we'll be in big trouble IMO. However as an impact sub, I think I would rather have Mayuka coming on. It's a bit of a non argument though as neither of them have shown anything to convince me they're any good at this level,
  17. Don't think there's much in it to be honest, think Mayuka has more potential to be good in the prem though as he has pace. Sharp is just too one dimensional for me. And I mean when he was at Forest.....in the league below the one people are sayin he should be playing in.
  18. Just another reason why you clearly talk crap. No sense in that. Has to prove himself at the level he's at before he deserves a chance in the prem. he definitely didn't shine last season. Even when he was with us in the prem he did ok, but hardly stood out like Rickie did he. He's a decent finisher if you get the ball to him in the box, but that's about it. He doesn't offer enough outside of the box and to the team in general. Yes he's a top bloke, but so was Butterfield, Hammond and Chaplow.
  19. That's a shame, was hoping you'd have some more info!
  20. He was struggling to get in the Forest team last season, definitely not the answer. Doesn't offer enough outside the box for me, especially when we play one up top.
  21. Another player difficult to get rid of, as noone is willing to pay prem money for him and I can't see Cortese agreeing to subsidise his wages.
  22. One of my mates who is a Boro fan, reckons he's on his way there...
  23. What will you say if we win 3-0?
  24. Yeah, I heard it was up to 5% of the transfer or something scaled down depending on which years he was with the club from. Edit: Ah - just read the article...! thats pretty much what it says !
  25. Yeah It's surprising how little we've heard, but lets just hope we can get Damiao over the line before WBA. Definitely things need to move from the top though first. PSG got Cavani, Higuain went to Napoli, as did Callejon and Gomez, Man City signed Jovetic and Negredo. Will Real bring in Suarez? Rooney to Chelsea? Arsenal sign anyone? Liverpool sign a Suarez replacement, Spurs still a striker or two short (Osvaldo/Damiao?) Should be interesting to see who goes where though, and it'll be a real disappointment if we're not able to bring in a top class striker now.
