I agree, I hate the whole 'he has pace so he's good' argument, but it's not like Sharp has a deft touch is it, or be able to ping it in from 30 yards. He's a good bloke but a very average footballer at this level. If Mayuka or Sharp are our first choice strikers next season, then we'll be in big trouble IMO. However as an impact sub, I think I would rather have Mayuka coming on. It's a bit of a non argument though as neither of them have shown anything to convince me they're any good at this level,
-
Don't think there's much in it to be honest, think Mayuka has more potential to be good in the prem though as he has pace. Sharp is just too one dimensional for me. And I mean when he was at Forest.....in the league below the one people are sayin he should be playing in.
-
Just another reason why you clearly talk crap. No sense in that. Has to prove himself at the level he's at before he deserves a chance in the prem. he definitely didn't shine last season. Even when he was with us in the prem he did ok, but hardly stood out like Rickie did he. He's a decent finisher if you get the ball to him in the box, but that's about it. He doesn't offer enough outside of the box and to the team in general. Yes he's a top bloke, but so was Butterfield, Hammond and Chaplow.
-
That's a shame, was hoping you'd have some more info!
-
He was struggling to get in the Forest team last season, definitely not the answer. Doesn't offer enough outside the box for me, especially when we play one up top.
-
Another player difficult to get rid of, as noone is willing to pay prem money for him and I can't see Cortese agreeing to subsidise his wages.

One of my mates who is a Boro fan, reckons he's on his way there...

What will you say if we win 3-0?

Yeah, I heard it was up to 5% of the transfer or something scaled down depending on which years he was with the club from. Edit: Ah - just read the article...! thats pretty much what it says ! -
Yeah It's surprising how little we've heard, but lets just hope we can get Damiao over the line before WBA. Definitely things need to move from the top though first. PSG got Cavani, Higuain went to Napoli, as did Callejon and Gomez, Man City signed Jovetic and Negredo. Will Real bring in Suarez? Rooney to Chelsea? Arsenal sign anyone? Liverpool sign a Suarez replacement, Spurs still a striker or two short (Osvaldo/Damiao?) Should be interesting to see who goes where though, and it'll be a real disappointment if we're not able to bring in a top class striker now.

Lukaku will be Chelsea's main striker this year IMO.
-
Would like it if it was yellow with blue trim.

Ravel Morrison. Spent last year on loan at Birmingham and had a decent season I believe. Has featured a lot for WHU in pre season and reckon he might play a bit next season.

Sinclair is awesome, would love him here.

What odds or how can I get them, that Saints

I occasionally do it on each ways....never won yet! keeps interest going though in other leagues so worth a quid or two. -
Not convinced we really do loans....

Oh b0llocks! Any idea how you change it?! What about now ?

To be fair they should perform better, This time last season we didn't have much Prem experience. the majority now have a years worth, and a young squad being a year older. A couple of quality additions (Wanyama, Lovren + Striker) and I can see why the management is expecting better things this year. And those that everyone else is improving....it's the same every year, but the league as a whole doesn't really improve does it. Some signings work out unbelievablly well -See Michu, and some aren't as good as expected - See Adam Johnson,
-
Damiao or Osvaldo. Or maybe another high profile striker.
-
Think Banega interest died when we signed Wanyama personally.
-
Would sum up that dreadful club.
-
Even Alpine has got the positive bug !!! FWIW, I fully expect us to stay up without too much of a problem, especially when we should be starting well with the fixtures we have. If we manage to bring in Osvaldo/Damiao/other top striker, then we really should be looking at 10th as a minimum.

He looks like a decent player from what I've seen, and makes me a lot more confident about the RB position. Shaw and Clyne will obviously be first choice, but with Chambers and Fox capable of stepping in for the odd game, with Cork/Yoshi also able to play there is desparate I don't think we need to bring in any more full backs. It's an awkward position, because we have 2 of the best young full backs in the country, so we don't want to stifle their development by bringing in a full back in their prime who will play every week. I wouldn't be too worried about Chambers stepping in on the rare occasion that Clyne isn't fit though.
