I think generally Chelsea carry him in games. I don't see him as a "behind the striker" midfielder, he's not the same as Ramirez, as he's not skilful enough, and not defensive enough to play on the "two". Lets not forget an awful lot of those goals are penalties as well. He wouldn't have anywhere near as impressive goal scoring record from midfield if you took them away.

Personally think that's more a problem with England than him being anything special though. I think he's been comparable to Gerrard in the past, but Gerrard has and always will be better than him. I think he's got a lot of goals against poor teams playing for Chelsea in 3/4/5-0 wins. Fair play to him, he's had a decent career, but I just don't think he's that great anymore.

Good in recent years, old now, don't think he offers enough. Was barely in the game when we played them.

Don't get the Lampard obsession.

Yeah, think JWP is a quality young player. So calm on the ball it's ridiculous.

Lampard is just an average player these days. Used to be decent but not anymore.

I think Carrick is a decent player, but would rather have Morgan anyday.

A team away I've not been to, someone random like Newport/Cheltenham, or someone at home, or someone local. Went to Barnsley in the NPC.

Gaston did partially come for the money - but he also mentioned that we wanted to build a team around him and he wanted to be a key part in a team. I don't believe that we offered him something that Spurs/Liverpool couldn't afford.

To be fair, Turkish(who is very sarcastic and does get a bit wearing at time) and Alpine(who is the most negative man ever) don't bother me as much as Glasgow, BS and Dalek. I can deal with people either just having opinions and putting their point across in a genuine way even if I don't agree, but people who literally just come on here to sit and wind people up is just sad. The constant sh!te that BS in particular posts is just painful.
