Consistency ?!
-
I see Fergie has said he's going to play 2 completely different teams this week....Surely they'll get fined just like Wolves did !?
-
I'm surprised they haven't sold out or got close to a sell out...their stadium only holds 25k...

Adkins to look at Saints for transfer targets?

Sharp would probably be on his radar. Deano could do a job there. Maybe he'd look at one of our CB's. Fonte or Hoooveld...Fox? -
Once we sorted out our keeper situation, we've been running at midtable form...I expect this is where Cortese was expecting us to be.
-
But Cortese was never expecting us to be fighting for relegation which is why he funded the transfer. Not a ridiculous thing to want to sign the best players possible for us to push on. And he'll be better next season because of it.
-
But if you split his transfer into....6m for his talent now, and 6m for what he might become, then it's really not that bad. Was Chamberlain worth £15m when we sold him after playing in L1? No definitely not, but he has huge potential and that costs money.
-
How do you know they're not good enough?! Mayuka was superb when he came on vs Spurs, and looked lively vs Villa and WHU. You even admitted you've never seen him play. And Forren? how do you know? He's an international ball playing CB, who is 24 and Liverpool showed an interest in him. I have questioned the timing of the transfer, but Im sure the club wouldn't be so stupid to buy Forren for £4m if they know he isn't very good. Have some patience? He'll probably be our no1 CB next season.
-
Apologies Bear.
-
And signing them for a relegation battle and not signing better players is a better one? Right...
-
Looked handy when I've seen him, for whatever reason he has not featured. At the moment he is a poor signing but in 2 years time he might be a our top scorer. Who knows? Things are really not that black and white in reality. Time will tell. If he has contributed nothing by the end of next season, then you can say it has been a poor signing.
-
But you're speculating about us getting relegated, which at the moment is less likely than us finishing 11th...
-
Questioning it now after 8 mnths is pretty retarded, but questionning it before they've ever played is quite embarrassing on your part.
-
So signing an Eng u21 right back, a 21 yr old Uruguayan full international, Polands no1, Japans CB, Norway CB, Zambian striker who scored at the ACON final, a 23 yr old English forward who scored a lot in the NPC last season, and Northern Irelands captain who has played a lot of games in the prem isn't good enough? I'm sure youd' only be happy if we signed such players as Shaun Derry and Glen Whelan. You'd probably moan if we'd signed Messi as he might not perform in december against Stoke....
-
He's really not average...I think he'd probably be playing for England if he was still at Swansea.
-
I can't believe you think we should only go for players who are good in relegation battles. There is generally a reason why they've been in relegation battles, and thats because they're not good enough. Without Ramirez, I think we would be worse off this season, and therefore, IMO, it was a good signing.
-
Ramirez was very good at Norwich which was our last away game.....
-
What a ridiculous thing to say. You're basically saying that we should have brought in players who are good for a relegation fight, and anyone who is better than that, we shouldn't consider. Our transfer committee has obviously tried to build on the talented players we had last season and stick a few more highly rated players in. Lets be fair, if we'd sorted the keeper situation out at the start of the season, we could easily be looking at a top 10 finish this season.
-
He hasnt played when he has been injured? But its hardly helped him settle into the side has it? When he has played, more at home than away, he's been pretty good and in some games the soul reason why we've got a result. (Newcastle, Villa, Arsenal at home). Agree he has been anonymous away from home at times, but that will come. He's a good player and probably our most talented player. Give him a chance. He's only young.
-
Injuries? Personal issues? I think he has done enough, but we need him to push on next season and become more consistent.
-
You must be the most impatient person to have ever graced the earth. Give them time. Personally, although I think for the money he should have contributed a bit more, all things considered I think Gaston has been a success. I don't think me and you will ever agree though.
