No surprise though as we were obviously going to be on the back foot. Lallana isn't disciplined enough to play CM and with JWP only being 17, I wouldn't want to rely on him despite him being very impressive. Cant see Hammond or Chaplow getting much of a game and also wouldnt be surprised if atleast one of them went before the end of the transfer window.

I agree, however a lot of people on the Wigan thread are suggesting we should go 4-4-2.

What is the best for our potential squad come September 1st. Everyone is saying go 4-4-2 at home against the lesser teams, but could be argued that 4-2-3-1 is actually more attacking. Wouldn't be complaining if by the end of the transfer window we are playing this every week home or away. Depends whether we rather would pay it in installments or can we only afford to pay it in installments. I would have thought we have access to funds but the chairman wants to run the club as a business to break even so wants to allocate the losses against the income we'd receive.
